TEST HANDMADE POTTERY BEFORE USE TO MAKE SURE IT IS FOOD SAFE. Lead testing kits can be purchased at hardware stores. And if it is unglazed IT IS NOT SAFE...that means unglazed edges that will come in contact with food or your mouth.

Thrifting is so much fun. I’d be careful about using anything for food where you can’t be 100% sure it’s food safe like those handmade goblets or tray with holes in it.
