Twice, here in Toronto Canada, I have had to take my dual fan ( A different Model ) apart, separate the plastic parts, and then wash them in the bathtub. OMG, the amount of black dirt was shocking indeed. I tend to leave the fan on 24/7 all year. It is installed in the kitchen window hooked up to a temperature controlled switch, such that in the winter time it will never bring the kitchen temperature below the selected temperature setting, thus the fan turns on for limited times, but still provides some fresh air. To keep that outdoor air black filth from blowing into my apartment, I just finished strapping a 10" x 20 " air filter onto it. A perfect fit indeed.

It's not as powerful as I thought it would be, but it works very well. kzbin.infoUgkxGjG43--gYqIoT4Xkur2PqCrtbKwTv2h There are three options to circulate air, and best of all a remote control for us lazy people. Installation was a breeze (no pun intended). It actually took longer to open the box then it did putting the side extenders on and sitting it in the window opening. It's a perfect alternative when you want airflow, but not the AC. Just might order another one for a different room. UPDATE: Bought another one like I said. They work great. Why not have two...

Those twin fans work a lot better if you put them in the top window. I had to exchange the original power wire with the extension cord wire to reach an outlet. I have my two fans blowing the heat out of the top of my window and it sucks, pressurizes and wind chills air through a small missing window pane at the bottom of my door. I made my main sitting spot in front of that beam of cold air. My room doesn't need AC on the hottest day in Ohio. Even if the AC's aren't on in the house. But that models awesome. I'm going to have to see if I can snag one. That would keep my room a lot colder than mine and the ability to switch directions👍

@iamthebesfromyou4 жыл бұрын
Yea should work. You could also just use a box fan if you have it and seal the gap that’s left over. I would have the fan blowing one way only and then have another window open on the opposite end and air will move between the 2 areas and will exchange the inside air with the outside air.

I have one & had for years I keep it in all year & I remove the back side of it for cleaning rather than trying to clean through the slats it makes it easier to clean. There's a screen in my window & it gets fuzzies on it so I take the screen out & hose it off or use a real gental brush to get it clean,it's a old house & screen's old so need clean it easy. My hands are not real big & it can slip outta my hands when I need to move it & not often it can be a pain when there's no place to hold onto. I do plan on getting another new one they work for me.

That one came w Grey material type stuff & you can use them if fan's Off to keep bug's out. I never needed those & a mouse ate a hole in one. For those of us who need to open & clean,those were crap I'm looking for another fan & noticed one I had are sold under different Name's but still junk. Imo I'm trying to find one I can afford,lol. I've had 2 of those, and yes, they are OK, not the best. The best twin Window fans are the Vintage all metal Marvin window fans that push much stronger air and last many more years than these cheap plastic things they make today.

Did you find out ? I'm trying to clean mine.. was gonna put it in the shower and rinse it off
@bunkyman80972 жыл бұрын
@Jason Smith, I have this fan and cleaned it this week. After taking it apart I cleaned the separate part with Dawn dish soap in the sink with a brush. That was easy. I cleaned the piece the fans are attached to with a toothbrush. Tedious but it worked. I was careful not to get the motors wet. The blades and inside the housing I used paper towels with alcohol sprayed on them. That wasn't easy but it did a good job. You may have to do the blades a couple of times. When you take the back off pay attention to how the accordian pull outs are situated. I didn't and it took me a couple of times to figure out. Cleaning it took more time than I would have liked, but I have a clean fan. I can't stand a dirty fan so it was worth it. I also gave the motors a shot of WD-40. all is good. Good luck!!
