Home Depot Hack Explained! 💣🤓

You can do the hack these ways or you do it the old fashioned way where you return the item you don’t want to customer service. Keep in mind that you will be at the mercy of that Home Depot’s policies for returns or their inventory if done with in store returns.

Great tutorial! Question for you, I bought a Milwaukee jigsaw and router and added the free battery exactly how you did it here but it lumped it in one order so I couldn’t cancel the battery I didn’t want. I had the battery for pick up at store and had the tools ship to home. If I never pick up the battery, I should get the refund for the amount of the battery correct? The receipt on my end shows the transaction split with their own separate price even though the battery was technically “free.” I look forward to your response. Thank you.

I think now works similar, if it’s a “free” item once ordered they split the total on the 2 articles and then you can even return at store just 1 item

I've tried it that way, usually they lump them all together when store pickup is unavailable, it's impossible to partial cancel the order that way. I have shipped to store the items I didn't want and never picked them up. Ship the item you want to your home and have them cancel the store pickup, it has worked for me in the past.

If Home Depot wanted you to not buy items they wouldn’t give discounts, wouldn’t let you check out items the way it works in this video they would set it up differently if they wanted. No theft, just bargains for already over priced Chinese items. A drill and battery cost $10 but they charge $100+ but you ain’t calling out that theft🤭

So I’d like to hack the M12 Stubby 1/2in, but it’s only available as Ship to Store and Ship to Home in my area. Can it still be hacked if it’s not available for pickup?

It's a little more complicated but in that case you could ship the stubby to your home and have different items for store pickup without ever picking them up. HD should auto cancel after a week or so. Some stores allow you to call in your cancellation after a few days, just use the "out of town" reason. Make sure you receive the stubby before cancelling in this case.

Doesn't look like this works anymore. When the item and the free item are in your cart both items have a cancel item button but when you click either item you only have the option to cancel the entire order.

Help... what am I doing wrong? I split 2 items fur a hack. One item pick up in store and one ship to home. I checked out with PayPal, but the order never showed up in my purchases and orders to cancel the ship to home item. What am u doing wrong?

This didn't work for me. I put the Item I wanted to ship to store and the item I didn't want ship to home. I go to cancel the home items and it only let's me cancel the entire order.

Thats weird. I just did this for the packout light. I did have a hack canceled on me a week ago due to inventory issues though.

Some here. Forget shopping at HOME-DEPOT, which limits veterans to $400 a year. No discounts for lumber either, out of the blue. Took receipts to proved previous lumber discounts. It when in one of the ears of the assistance store manager and out of the other. Lowes still supports the military without limits or restrictions. It’s time to support the local hardware and lumber stores.

Free battery does not show up for me... there is an option to buy the unit with the battery that shows a “+” sign but I did that with the installation driver and they would not deliver the tool without the battery. It only came all in one box and they won’t accept a partial return of the battery.

There are different listings for the installation driver. You need to find the one that shows Free gift with purchase. That will allow you to split the items, one needs to be ship to home and the other store pickup. Here is the listing I found that allows splitting for the installation driver.

He didn't say but I ASSUME because he last minute "took his chances" choosing an entire different store for the hacksaw which I believe is the reason it separated the items listed and everyone else is getting the entire deal canceled. Try separate stores one item at another store 😉
