I'll never forget the California heatwave in 2017. I had Vaporwave playing as the sun set into night. I remember the feeling of warm air as I looked up at the moon and stars, hearing neighbors partying in the distance. It was a special feeling since heatwaves are rare where I live, so I was soaking it in. Sadly, the year ended with a 180 for my fam and I. Landlord wanted to sell the house so we had to move so suddenly and our lives were never the same. Certain Vaporwave tracks like this take me back to better days 😞
