You are right, anytime they present a song everybody tries each part and that's how they arrange the song. Could use to his producer and everyone behind the scenes! I'm amazed! That video was straight out of my ninth grade dance. Back in the day 9th grade was still Middle School and this was like the Middle School prom.

Chance even tweeted that he dedicated dedicated this to his high school girlfriend, so the idea most likely is the angle of boy awkwardness at that age. So now I suggest you watch a seldom reacted to song and video; 19 You + Me (Dan + Shay), Home Free featuring Peter Hollens. There is also a Peter Hollens featuring Home Free version with a different arrangement and video, both awesome, but I think you'll enjoy Home Free's video a lot. 🥰😁🙏

I listened to the original (again) after HF dropped this and really missed where HF tossed in Seal's "Kiss From a Rose" a couple of times. Listen again at the breakdown and end of the song... That was a sneaky thing the HF guys did there. LOL Love it! Thanks! ^_^

Oh my Miss Destiny....Trivex I may steal her from ya !!! I love a gal with her hair down like that !!! You one lucky son-of-a-gun Trivex :) Oh my does she look pretty like that...yes my heart skipped a beat or two :) :) :) Trivex girls at that age (for me it was Jr High, I think they call it middle school now) were sooooo scary. I can relate to the video !! This arrangement, with Rob & Austin taking leads and those awesome background harmonies...and right the end thst scale they did with the harmonies was out of this world....

I agree with Destiny - that it's likely just a middle-school dance. It seems to be set in the 60s when it was common for the boys to wear ties. Girls that age always look older & taller than the boys. I think all their voices are terrific - Rob has such a sweet, soulful tenor that this song suits him so well. Check out the video with Home Free and Texas Hill "Dreamer" - Rob is so perfect in that song that now I can't imagine anyone else singing it.

Home Free does have a sing that takes you through the years. Can't think of the name of it at the moment. I noticed that when you both react that the volume of the song goes down for us could you please turn it up. Thanks!!! I am amazed at just how much they have grown since they started together. Chris Rupp has been showing the history of Home Free in sections so check it out

It is not surprising that so many of the original artists that Home Free covers comment and congratulate them on their version of the song. That is why it is so great when Home Free is able to perform with legends like Alabama, Oak Ridge Boys, Don McLean and the late Kenny Rogers. Don McLean even asked Home Free to sing American Pie when he received his star on Hollywood Blvd. last summer. (Don's star is in front of the Pie Hole restaurant.)

loved the kids' shyness, memories of everybody's first dances. Now, Destiny's notice of lyrics somewhat more mature "activities" would conflict with first dance. She's a great addition!

Not familiar with the original but Home Free always sound amazing. The few times I've gone back and listed to the group that made it famous..... I have preferred Home Free's versiin.

This was great and I agree with Trivex about maybe 8 or 9th graders dance. I liked your comments the best. Home Free’s version is awesome. You don’t have to say it’s better than Lonestar’s I loved them both. Sometimes HF is an upgrade from the original. But I guess I’m biased cause I love HF. Home Free put out a request a while back asking what songs we wanted them to do. I had always wondered why the guys had never done this so I requested this one. I was 'Amazed' that they did it, and they said the reason they did this one was because a Home Fry requested it. Is it bad to think that it was because I had asked? Who knows, may have been my request or loads of them but I am so absolutely glad that I did ask them to do this one, it is made for them.

I personally think they were going for the innocence, and the first time feel As Kevin pointed out a while back, “Girls are scary” But if I’m not mistaken most of the lines would’ve been thought of, anticipated and looked and hoped for by any young person starting out It appeared to me that the dance was over and the young men could relax and they could be themselves and of course that’s always more attractive

As always the guys did a fabulous version of this song. I wouldn't expect anything different from them. They are amazing! Also like the cute video that goes along with it. A lot of people have covered this song. It was first done by "Lonestar" in 1999. Bonnie Tyler did a cover in 2003 & Boyz II Men in 2009.

This was a fabulous version/ by Home Free. I usually prefer Home Free versions over the original but this time I consider both versions equally and a whole lot better than the Boys-to-Men 2009 cover of the song.

@@SilverDestinyReactions It is my understanding that the writers of the song offered it first to Boyz-to-Men and they turned it down. Then Lonestar picked it up and had a mega hit with it in 1999. A female artist covered it a couple years later. I do not remember her name and then Boyz-to-Men covered it in 2009.

I think Home Free’s version is better than Lonestar’s - and this is one of my fav songs. I’ve been told that whenever HOme Free go to do an arrangement they all sing it and then work out together who is going to sing what during it - kinda like Destiny said they work out who it most fits vocal wise.

I met my wife freshman year of high school we were off and on for several years then we graduated I left for the Air Force, went to war and when I got home, we reconnected. We have been married 46 years now and she is still my best friend

I agree with Destiny about the video, watching a couple dancing to this song at different stages of their relationship. I also think the kids were too young, but it was still a cute video. The guys really did a fabulous job covering this song, and I think that Adam did a fantastic job with his beatboxing.

I hate to admit it... but Home Free versions are always better. Most of them becoming 'their' song. I remember one reactor saying that if you don't want your song owned by someone else... don't let Home Free cover it. Love every thing they do. Great reaction. Yes... Destiny's version would have been more appropriate... but I'm ot much worried about the videos.

I think Destiny has a great idea, but since they already did this video, I doubt they'd do another. And for your wedding, look into having a backyard bash...I'm certain that many of us would help you for that. It'd be our wedding present, since we won't be there.

If you like videos where they transition from meeting to where they get older they have two videos one is stop drop and roll and the other one is 19 You and Me that they did featuring Peter Hollens they have two versions of it one is on Peter Hollens Channel any other one you found home fries Channel when I like it's the one with there on the beach that would be the home free Channel
