Great reaction, Red! Rob did a fantastic job on this and really nailed the end. I don't have a favorite. At different times, I've thought one sounded better than the rest, but then the next song I heard changed my mind. I finally decided to enjoy their talents equally. Another great one where Rob leads is their original song, 'Why Not', which is a love song that I think you'll like. *However* ... I think its time you saw the goofball side of Home Free. I have been a fan of HF for a decade and I find that my favorite changes with who is singing. I decided that it was impossible to to pick one member over another, soooo I decided to just sit back and enjoy the special flavor of who ever was singing lead (always reveling in the beat boxing at the same time) and savor the perfectly blended harmonies when they all sing at the same time. It seems unproductive to single one member of this group, when the whole is always the most delightful gift they bring to the stage. Why settle for an appetizer, when you can enjoy the entire feast? ☺

I love them all, but Rob and Chance are the leads that really touch me. Rob is so versatile, and Chance is a storyteller with such a warm voice. For more of Rob cutting loose I suggest Home Free at the Hosanna concert 2013 doing their version of the carol “Joy to the World “. It’s a jazzy, funky arrangement, and Rob really digs deep. There’s also a beatbox breakdown. As for Chance, I suggest “I Can’t Outrun You “- it’s Chance’s lower register, 5 part harmony, hauntingly beautiful, and Chance directed the video.

If you want more of Rob's soulful goodness, check out their song "Catch Me If You Can". Legend has it that they couldn't decide who was going to sing lead on it so they were each going to take turns. Rob went first and the rest of the guys said "Nope...we can't top that." There is a reason that Tim and Austin both think Rob has the best, most versatile voice of them all.

These guys do an amazing job of this song! They can do any genre including R&B. Rob's voice has so much feeling & soul in it. Austin adding his higher tones, Chance is holding down the bass in the back, Tim adding some deeper bass notes & Adam with his fabulous vocal percussion. These guys are my favorite a cappella group out there. Shawn Stockman from Boyz II Men was one of the judges on the "Sing Off" that Home Free won & he was a big fan of these guys from the start. I'm sure he loved their version of this song.

They took that song to exactly where it needed to go! The song has some desperation at the end and Rob absolutely showed out! You will definitly love the home free church session. They did live recordings of 'go rest high on that mountain', 'it looks good', and 'it's a great day to be alive. Their voices are all in top form, harmonize beautifully, sound so crisp in the recording and mix...and its a good recording of chance in the bass zone.

It is hard for me to pick a favorite Home Free member! They each bring something special to the group! I was pretty certain you would love this one. There are so many great Home Free videos, but Rob really, really put his heart and soul into this and I loved it! I will suggest an another one of my favorite from a couple of years ago and that’s their cover of “One Man Band”. The video setting is such a cool place and it does add a vibe. Chance, Rob, Austin, and Tim each sing a verse and Rob sings the chorus. It’s so good! It’s on my Home Free Favs playlist.
