I'm a 70 year old guy, who was taught at a very young age to never show emotion, for it was a sign of weakness. It would be many years before I allowed myself to show public emotion. I love this song and soldiers who fight for their countries freedoms and i dont want to diminish the tribute to veterans but as a Christian i think of singing this to Christ. Just as apt. But it can be so relatable to various situations that cause pain and grief to losing friends and loved ones. Sometimes it helps to let out our emotions!
