The fellow, Chance, that is playing the city slicker role is the most country of the group. He was born in the Florida Panhandle and grew up on a ranch in Southern Alabama. He did a behind-the-scenes tour of his home, a log cabin deep in the woods. And Blake Shelton loved this version.

I definitely agree. The song, and the video, in my opinion, are both better than the original. The original video has two country boys in an upscale restaurant. How does that fit in with the lyrics? Chance did a great job with the whole "fish out of water" role.

If you want to hear Home Free cover a true country classic check out their cover of the song Crazy. Willie Nelson wrote it, and Patsy Cline made it an enormous hit back in the day. Check out the original version first as she was truly one of the queens of country music, and truly an extraordinary talent. The really amusing thing is that the "city boy", Chance, was born and raised on a farm in southern Alabama where the nearest neighbor is a mile or more away. He is about as "country" as can be, so a bit of an inside joke that they had him in that role I think.

Y'all are hilarious! I was born and raised in the deep South. Yep. We had parties like this in a beach town on the gulf coast call Floribama because it was half in Florida and half in Alabama. They were usually at night and we had bonfires on the beach, beer in the coolers, guitars all around and one hell of a great time. I saw Chance, the city boy in this video with a Floribama T-shirt on one time.

Hillbilly is now at term for country folk but it originated in southern Scotland. Followers of King William of Orange (WILLIAM III) immigrated to America and settled in the north sections of that Appalachian mountains. Their descendants were called Hill Billies. The name stuck over the years to country folks.

This song is my wake up alarm on my phone. Can't sleep through that bass line and it makes me smile. No better way to start my day. The video is pretty typical of a rural get together. Thanks guy's, this is a favorite of mine! This portrayal is a typical weekend day for the area I am from and still live in here in South Georgia USA! Three of the guy's being from the deep south can relate very well! Austin Brown spent his years in college (on a music scholarship) trying to nullify his Georgia accent - when he joined Home Free they told him to stop trying. Tim Foust said in an interview that when Austin first joined the band, he'd say something and the others would look to him to translate. There's a video of Chance's home in Alabama when he was growing up - the grounds are just vast! The jeep he took the videographer around it came with a machete to get through parts of the roads!
