Someone may have already said this but Chris Rupp and his brother Adam (beatboxer but in this he begins "It Is Well") are the founding members of Home Free. Tim Foust (begins the song) has the most ridiculous range singing lower than I didn't even know a man could sing to gorgeous high notes. Adam Rupp's singing is so beautiful and pure and as great as he is at beatboxing I'd love to hear him singing more. Adam Chance (the close cut bearded guy) is a bass but not normally. He's usually singing a low baritone but he does fill in the bass, not as low as Tim can sign tho, whenever Tim's singing other parts. Rob (the bushy beard) can sing just about anything put in front of him. He was classically trained and it comes out when he and Austin (Austin is the longer haired guy with sort of a mustache) sing the opera song "Nessum Dorma". Now that one will blow your mind if nothing else will.

The first guy singing is Tim Foust (bass with a 5 octave range); next was Rob Lundquist (glasses and beard sings tenor); Adam Rupp (beat boxer sang the It Is Well part); Austin Brown was the last to sing (high tenor); and the guy on the end next to Austin is Adam Chance (goes by Chance, sings baritone but also bass when Tim is singing the lead). Chris Rupp left the group in 2016 to venture on his own. He and his brother Adam started Home Free. They both have beautiful voices.

I have watched many videos and seen myself that people with dementia respond and light up when hearing music that they would have loved during their life. We all run on vibration and the correct tones, notes and vibration of the music can heal, can stimulate, can release tension or if the wrong kind of music can cause tention. God's music, angelic singing very healing. Music is so emotional, I cannot get through a church service and the music without tearing up.

Two of my absolute favorite Home Free songs are Christmas songs, “Do you hear what I hear?” and “O Holy Night.” I’ve seen them in concert at the Ryman Auditorium which is known as the “Mother Church of Country Music” and the acoustics work amazing for their voices.

I listen to this every morning while I say my prayers and I make sure I thank God for blessing us with the beautiful music of HF. Every song they do whether it's hymns, country, rock, R&B or any other genre they take to the next level and their Christmas music fills you with the spirit of the season. Wait till you hear Do You Hear What I Hear, Mary Did You Know or Angels We Have Heard on High. BTW there is no bass or drums or other instruments (except for a couple of songs or when they have a featured artist) because they are a cappella Tim does the bass and Adam does the drums.

I think this was filmed in Austria. One of the few songs that Adam Rupp is singing instead of beat boxing. Chris & Adam Rupp are the founding members. Chris stepped out several years ago and Adam Chance took his place.

Chris Rupp is not in this video. He is the brother of the beatboxer Adam Rupp and they started the group while in college. Chris left the group to do his solo career and he has also helped form 2 other groups, the latest one being a trio called Cypress Fire which he is in. So older videos of Home Free you will see Chris in and videos beyond 2016 you will see Adam Chance in the group. Chris Rupp has many Christian songs he has sung on his KZbin channel, you might want to check a couple of them out as well.

This is Tim, Austin, Rob, Adam Chance and Adam Rupp. Adam Rupp is usually the beatboxer but has a gorgeous tenor voice. Rob and Austin are both tenors. Tim is usually the base and has a five octave range. Adam Chance called Chance is the baritone, but can sing also bass. Chris Rupp , Adam’s brother, went solo in 2016 and Chance joined.

This was filmed in the Austrian Alps and it's my favourite rendition of this hymn. The singing, harmonies & scenery are all gorgeous. There is a live version "Home Free Kearny" that's astonishing. A concert had been cancelled 'cuz of a thunderstorm, rather than disappoint fans, Home Free went to where they were sheltering, stood of a picnic table (no mics, amps, etc.) and sang this (accompanied by wind, flickering lights & thunder).

Home Free is the only country a capella group out there, but they can - and do - sing every genre. And they have no lead singer. Every one of these men can take the lead, and they pick the lead for each song by who does it the most justice. All the men can beat box, but Adam is in a league of his own. Adam Rupp led off the "It is well ..." section. He is usually doing the beatboxing, but this is a straight 5 part arrangement, so he sings tenor. Chris Rupp isn't in this one. He left in 2016 and Adam Chance took over baritone, sometimes tenor and sometimes bass. He was wearing the brown suede jacket. Rob Lindquist is the more open/flat tone tenor. He also has a nice round high baritone or low tenor sound. Try his and Austin's "Nessun Dorma". Tim Foust is the bass with those mad pipe organ notes. Chance may have been running a 3rd or 4th over Tim to get that thick sound. Austin Brown is the higher tenor, but it doesn't really work it that hard on this song. He has a very different sound than Rob does. It feels to me like he has a very different resonance in his mouth and head notes and also he tends to bend around notes more than Rob, which is apparently a common tendency in lyric tenors.

Two of my favourite hymns (although only the chorus of It Is Well) beautifully sung. They have a wonderful collaboration of Amazing Grace with Peter Hollens, and some Christmas carols (as well as other "holiday" songs); and they do a really fun cover/upgrade of the Need to Breathe song, Brother. Finally, I think you would really appreciate two other collaborations with a special message in each: One Voice feat. Billy Gilman and Don't Laugh at Me feat. Mark Wills. Please continue down this rabbit hole, it is one worth exploring as they never leave you disappointed.

Rob’ last name is pronounced Lund’-quist. Adam Chance is known as “Chance.” They have recorded several Christmas hymns, plus a number of patriotic songs. Using "It is well" as a bridge in the middle is genius. Adam Rupp's vocals were doubled up, and appropriate. My only disappointment was that the verse with the line "when God his own not sparing" was omitted. Disappointed because that is the most powerful Christian message of the song.
