This was filmed in the Austrian Alps - it's the most beautiful version of this hymn that I've ever heard. The singing, harmonies & scenery are just gorgeous - and we even get to hear Adam sing a little! Thanks for playing this and your comments.

Chance was doing the bass line while Tim was singing, then they switched back when he was done. They do that quite often since Chance joined the group. Did you notice Adam (the beat boxer) singing? It was only a few lines, but it was perfect. It was Austin who was hitting those really high notes. This was filmed by a drone in the Alps of Austria while they were there for a singing competition. They are fabulous when it comes to these gospel hymns. They do Amazing Grace with Peter Hollens that will knock your socks off, it's that good.Thank you!
@robertboling90574 жыл бұрын
No the extremely high notes was actually Adam Rupp the beat boxer

Robert is correct. Adam Rupp was actually the one that was "singing in the rafters".

At the third chorus, (after the harmony sings my savior God) you can hear someone going up to a falsetto C5. That was Tim (the main bass). His range is unreal. He can go up to an A5. And I already saw this comment but if you want to know who sang the bassline while the bass sang lead just react to their mayday cover👍
@donnabowen50544 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your reaction and your comments about Jesus. This hymn was the first song that I heard from HF. It brought me to tears and the harmonies wow. My grandma P would have loved this, it was one of her favorites. Another of her favorites, and mine, is The Old Rugged Cross. I have many favorites Be Thou My Vision, etc. they haven't sung either of these. HF sang one of my very favorite Christmas songs, O Holy Night. Adam sings harmony on this one. Listen to their Christmas songs/hymns, from serious to funny HF does it all. I was hooked and I am now a Home Fry. HF just came out with a new song, Quarantine, a funny yet serious commentary on this very scary time.

Thank you very much for a wonderful reaction, it's such a wonderful hymn and setting, and their incredible voices and harmony just make something really special. One thing to notice - the It Is Well With My Soul is sung by Adam Rupp, the beat-boxer. I personally really enjoy they group, to see more of their personality I recommend watching their live performances also I recommend the groups vocal range video! It is somewhat accurate, but there are instances in other videos Tim(the bass) actually goes lower than recorded in some vocal range videos. The group was originally started by Chris and Adam Rupp(beatboxer) after Chris left, Adam chance, the second bass joined after leaving another musical group, just some back ground info! The baritone can sing some bass and he was singing bass at the beginning. More of a bass-baritone to be honest. Love your reactions here. Thanks for reacting to one of my favorite songs of all time! I have a suggestion if you like songs like this. Try reacting to gospel basses like Tim Riley, Jeff from Kingdom Heirs, Jim "Big Chief" Wetherington, George Younce, JD Sumner, or Tim Storms. Tim Storms has the deepest voice on record and a roughly twelve octave range (widest on record). Mr Storms singing Amazing Grace is awe inspiring. I love this version of this song by the way. Sorry about all the suggestions. I just love listening to basses. That was actually my favorite hymn of all time. Great video! Stay safe!
