While on tour in Austria, Home Free took the opportunity to film this video in the Alps. They flew in their video company and used a drone. They knew they wanted someplace extra special for their video of ‘How Great Thou Art’ and they found it here,

I've spent the last couple of hours doing research to locate that chapel in the Austrian Alps, and I finally came up with it! It's the Kemater Alm, and the mountain behind them is the north face of the Kalkkoegel, in the Austrian Limestone Alps. Loved your comment about the setting being straight out of one of Bob Ross' paintings! I loved Watching Bob Ross paint. Both my husband are artists and have created and sold quite a few of our own paintings (years back, when we were both in our 30s) after learning the wet-on-wet oil painting techniques Bob Ross and William Alexander taught. We still have some of them on our walls, here at home. You hit the nail on the head with the scenery in this video. It always strikes me the same way! I always think of gorgeous sunrise and sunsets that have the clouds lit up and the colors all blended, the same way, too...Bob Ross must have been busy those days! ;-) As a matter of fact, I've been sketching again lately, and after you noticed that church, it hit me that that would be a good subject, so I've gone and opened the original video in a separate tab, and plan to take a bit of time as soon as I finish here, endeavoring to make a decent sketch of that church and at least one of the peaks behind it, so that I can hopefully (sometime this summer, when I can afford to get some canvases--I still have all my paints and brushes), get back into painting, as well. I couldn't paint for a long period of time, due to being bent nearly in half, forward, due to extreme arthritis in both hips. In 2017, both were surgically replaced, and over the last 23 months, I've regained a lot of my former height, and can actually walk again without a walker (at least for short times). Being able to paint again, is something I've been looking forward to for a long time, now, and your comment has inspired me more. Thanks! I see that plenty of others have mentioned where the video was shot, so I'll refrain from that, and just go on appreciating your reaction after that comment... You're still a "kid" if you compare our ages (I'm 69...heading fast for 70, on November 29). However, I think most of your reactions indicate a level of maturity that one doesn't always find in a person under 40. Also, some of your insights would indicate someone at least in their mid-30s. Yet you retain a youthful, fun approach that is very appealing to this "oldster," and many others, I'm sure. I appreciate that very much, even though I don't always care for the subjects of some of your reactions (which is OK...I don't have to). I DO appreciate many of them, and the ones I can see right away I don't want to watch, I simply don't. ;-) When I do watch, I leave with joy. Thank you for just being the special person who you obviously are. \0/

One of the best, if not the best, version out there. I also loved how they did Blue ain't your color, All About That Bass, and Wake Me up ( make sure to watch a little after the song finishes on that one, it's funny hehe ) For originals, a couple of my faves are Good ol country harmony and Champagne Taste on a Beer budget, and of course all their Christmas stuff rocks. (The video of grandma got run over by a reindeer is absolutely hilarious. Do you hear what I hear was filmed in an ice castle which was so very cool.) great react :)

Another is the one they mixed in... "It Is Well" by Horatio Spafford. We sing this acapella at our annual Men's Retreat and it sounds beautiful and the message in the song is glorious. 1. Contentment in Christ, 2. Assurance of Redemption, 3. Salvation, and 4. Anticipation. I love the old hymns.

They were in Austria for an A Cappella festival and popped over to the Alps to film this. My favorite HF song is the one I am listening to. And you are a young person. You remind me of someone... My nephew? Grandson? Full of energy and letting it off in a fun way. VoicePlay is another group that was on The Sing Off with Home Free and they do a skit called Road Trip. It is so funny, that I laughed my butt off when I saw them live in Jan. I'll dig up a link and post it. Thanks! ^_^

Filmed in the Austrian Alps outside the Triol region. A lot of the long shots of the mountains and the small church were done with a drone. I have visited that region many times and the whole of the mountains are filled with small villages and churches. Still some snow up there so I would wager it was still pretty chilly up there. Love these guys.

Actually, technically it's a chapel, not a church. A church has a minister/pastor assigned to it on at least a part-time basis (being owned/'operated' by a religious organization) and is usually at least a little larger and will almost always be publicly accessible by at least a minor road; a chapel doesn't usually have a minister assigned to it (usually being owned privately, or by a secular organization), and is usually not at all large - a 'large' chapel might have space for 30-40 people.
