This song is like I'm going back in time. In 1971 me and my sweetheart were kids, we were wild, and were never getting older, ...but a snap of the fingers, time has robbed us of our youth, softened our wild ways, and propelled us into old age. But she still loves me like that. MANY THANKS for this song.

It is so refreshing to see a “break up” song portrayed in a loving and inspiring way. There are times that paths lead couples in separate directions; however that doesn’t mean that it cannot be done with respect.

This is My Ex wife of 13 years and my favorite group. We saw them twice in concert. It's going on two years since we separated. We talk every day, I miss her every day, and she misses me, but sometimes love isn't all you need, I guess. We're best friends still, and I don't think that will ever change. I really like and agree with your comment.

My first boyfriend and I broke up because we realised we were better friends than a couple we over each other but more friends definitely. He introduced me to his best friend and cousin who had been away for specialist training school in our area didn't provide so if not met him I. Our church 10 months later I married his cousin. We all stayed close. Through time cousin and I stared singing/ preaching together in our church and before long were being invited to other denominations as well e Where was my husband when we were traveling to engagements he was babysitting our 2 and cousins 3 children as his marriage ended and he was raising his kids alone. It confused many people about our relationship. So many people thought we were married we just stopped telling them we were not as it got embarrassing. Did my husband ever question our relationship no but many others did. He finally got remarried and I lost count of the number of people who have come up to me to say how sorry they were to hear we divorced and how wonderful it was we could still work so well together. Well we got into habit of counting how many people said to us . One night just before we were going on to start he said I got 15 comments tonight I replied beat you I got 28. We looked at each other he said not good I replied no it ends tonight We introduced each other and someone shouted your such an amazing couple do you have kids. I saw no! Smirk and my heart sank. Yeah he drawls we have 5 . I jumped in with one word his last name. He hugged me and said we have 5 kids between us and her husband my cousin is at home with them . We continued the evening and at the end the hosts were extremely embarrassed they explained how they thought we were married and so had booked us a double room in the hotel. We laughed and said that it wouldn't be the first time not to worry and once again we shared the room. When I called my husband tol him what happened he laughed and said you two that was that. Did we ever cross the line no not once.I'm our time and in our faith no sex before marriage and marriage was for life. Well last year for first time in ages we had to travel to keep an engagement and apparently the organiser was behind times yes they booked us a double room again and again we shared it. It's over 45 years since we split up he's still my best friend in the world second only to my husband.

We were kids, we were wild and we were never getting older , We could do no wrong, we always had a shoulder , We leaned in and I caved in , My parents taught me no one I loved could love me like that , But you loved me like that. Hesitated putting all this in a song , But lying to myself about you isn't moving on , Truth be told, girl, in a way I hope you hear this , Pull out your phone and take a trip down memory lane with , Me by your side , Georgia nights , You and I , One last time . Has to be one of my fav songs for lyrics, heartfelt meaning and just the sound of the guys....I mean it's just perfection :-)

Meredydd Mcdonald can’t get any more raw than that...can it😞...O remember those days before I found my husband...those break ups were always so hard...I wished so badly that I could have told my younger self ...there was nothing wrong me me..,there was nothing wrong with him ...it just wasn’t meant to be and God is going to bring you someone someday who will love you 100 x more than any previous boyfriend you ever had....but MAN...5 years is a long time ...who knows maybe they will get back together after she finds herself ❤️

Fantastic video. I think this is my favourite song from the album - oh but that pain in Austin’s voice 💔 thankfully there is all the other wonderful songs to listen to when the sadness becomes too much 😊
