Saw this performed live just on May 29th...this song is difficult to do no matter who you are. The breath control alone is amazing! Got the whole crowd jumping. And it was just as good live...better in fact!

Love your reaction! Home Free did this the first time live on 5-27-22 in Decatur, IL. I was at that concert. Adam is a beast when it comes to the no-monica! He does use the looper for the beats so he can do the harmonica sounds. It was an awesome performance!

This song is great! A phenomenal masterstroke by Home Free. The guys don't need added effects, they switch roles, I love that. And Adam is ... WOW ... a sound machine on two legs. How many harmonicas did he have to swallow before to be so perfect LOL Great reaction, thanks!

These guys are just the best. That was such a great cover of Garth Brooks' song. What a fun & fast energy song. You can't help but jam along with it. The guys all did a great job & Adam was fabulous with his harmonica sounds & vocal percussion. Another winner to add to the list!

Just heard you mention they layered vocal tracks because you heard Tim doing bass while singing melody as well. That was actually Chance doing the bass. They often switch back and forth seamlessly in songs. 👍😉 As far as I can tell from the live performance, the only thing looped was the drums when Adam's doing his no-monica. 😍🤯 And he actually did that high note at the end of the last no-monica solo live! And yup, it sounds like an electric guitar! 🎸

You do the best reactions. You actually listen to the music and watch the videos. You'd be surprised how many reactors don't. I agree with you that this is spectacular. I see Adam used the looper for the live performance of this. I figured that would be the case, cause layering his beat boxing and "no-monica" in the official video version is standard procedure, even tho' the other guys can beat box some, the beat boxing in this is next level as well as the harmonica sound. Others can make that sound, but again, this was next level. Adam is a beast. So good. I was also blown away by the vocals. It couldn't have been easy nailing those rapid fire lyrics so cleanly and precisely, but they sure did. This is tied for number one favorite song of theirs with "The Driver." Thanks for the great reaction.

@davidstephens64622 жыл бұрын
That harmonica sound is usually made by playing the harp through a Shure Green Bullet hi-Z mic plugged in to an old Fender Supra, Twin or Super Reverb amp, often with a overdrive or fuzz pedal. Adam does all of it vocally except for the reverb.

You might notice that Darren Rust has produced each of the "duets" to slightly bring out one voice then the other, again to add interest and to balance the voices. Austin and Tim's slide up is testament to how long they've been singing together as they move at exactly the same pace. In general from the first chord testosterone hangs like a cloud over this one.

This is truly phenomenal! Incredible! Or really, there are just no words for it. Although I started thinking why they didn't let Chance do the lead because it really was a song for him. But then he came anyway. They all sang so wonderfully. And what is Adam so inhumanly freaking good With Home Free you no longer need other groups. Because slow or fast, high or low, serious or funny, they can really do any genre. HomeFree is perfect!😉

There's a video you really need to check out called 9 to 5 Breakdown...they all get into a beatbox battle and it's phenomenal! Since Chance has been with the group, it has freed Tim for a lot of roles other than bass... Chance used to be the bass in an a cappella group called Street Corner Symphony. Both groups were on The Sing Off which Home Free won. They can all do sound effects for a variety of instruments...my sister's listened to Man of Constant Sorrow a number of times where they were convinced there was a guitar and multiple drums...of course their videos are a little richer than a live performance, but there's not enough difference to be noticed.
