Adam Rupp was amazing!! The harmonies were on point!! Loved it when Austin Brown hit them high notes and Avi and Tim hit those low notes…throughout the song I had chills!! Great reaction 🎉 I love Home Free😊

This group of guys right here, including Avi, are some of the most talented musicians Ive ever heard. I'd have known Avi's voice without the video, it's so unique. And how about that vocal control Austin has in his first line. A-MA-ZING!
@anniedownum4513 жыл бұрын
I know I'm late, but this is a CLASSIC Johnny Cash song, and the original always has a special place in my heart (as with many others). However, Home Free made it their own, in their own style without taking away from the feeling of the original. That is one of the things that I absolutely love about the group: they reinvent classics while honoring the original. Keep up the reactions!!
@Cindyannef5 жыл бұрын
Home Free made this song their own with that Country A Capella Ragae sound. The tempo of the song is completely different, too. They always give the covers they do a little different spin of their own, which always turns out to be so amazing. Thanks, for another great reaction.

Major respect for Johnny Cash and Home Free. I love both versions. Adam Rupp deserves kudos for sure. He beat boxes entire live shows plus a drum solo, which blows my mind. He sounds so authentic. In The Blood will show a more serious side to these guys. It is beautiful. Also, I Can't Outrun You.

If possible you should react to Home Free's performances on The Sing Off (with judges' reactions). If nothing else at least watch their version of this song on there. To me it's even better than this one and Tim (the bass) will blow you away at the end.

June Carter Cash wrote the song about the love between her and Johnny Cash. When they began falling in love he was married. Not sure if she was married or not, but he was. The burning ring of fire represented the love between them.
@DamselDebICT5 жыл бұрын
Yes, June was married. The Ring of Fire is symbolic of Hell because they were sinning. This will always be the love song of June & Johnny but I truly love what Home Free did to the song. It also introduced a classic to a whole new generation.

I grew up listening to my dad singing Ring of Fire all the time and it isn't the same at all. Sorry to my dad, but Home Free HAS made it their own and that's that. Two basses helped I think. And Adam's beat boxing... You really need to check out one of his "drum solos". Adam Rupp Drum sols and take a newer one. He does a full show PLUS a 10 min. (give or take) drum solo. Amazing... Thanks! ^_^
@ajaxxus15 жыл бұрын
Adam (beatboxer) does a kind of reggae beat in this song which bumps it up. This song was actually written by June Carter before her and Johnny Cash got married and she felt like she was sinning so it was like going to hell in the ring of fire. This was also the first video I ever saw from Home Free and my daughter watched so I had to take her to one of their concerts lol

Oh, I love the original Johnny Cash one. I would love to see your reaction to it as well. They both have things about them that just make a person feel good. The old, with it's classic almost kinda like Charley Pride feel, ( if you don't know who that is, maybe react to kiss an angel good morning, it's short and sweet like this one) it's almost like you're riding through an old western town and stopping in the saloon, really nice; and this one with it's awesome harmonies ( the old had a little, but Johnny's voice really doesn't need a lot especially when you add in the gorgeous instrumentation. ) and the overall character added by Avi , who is good friends with them to my knowledge, not to mention an absolute sweetheart, and pops up in several of their videos. In fact, Champagne taste on a beer budget captures his personality just perfect. Anyways, I am pretty sure you will like it even if it's not as much as you liked this one. Thanks much for the reactions, you always make me smile.

Actuallye, I've heard Johnny cash when he released Ring of Fire, The Original version is what people of today calls Classic Country. You Should listen to the original version, and THEN re-listen to Home Free doing it As only they can do, vocally, acapella. Personally, I would have to say Mr. Cash would actually be MORE THAN PROUD that Home Free is finding success.... Once AGAIN, with the ONE of Many songs, that made Johnny Cash a Country music Hall of Fame Legendary member. And a recognized famous name in so many Musical Country - Loving and livin' homes across the world! :)

To me, when Home Free does a cover of a song, it seems more rich than the original. Usually. I listened to Johnny Cash's original and it is good, but there is a fullness in the Home Free version that wasn't there for me in the original. Just my 2 cents worth. Thank you for reacting to this.
