The vocal band started in Minnesota. In 2000-2001. Two of them still live in Minnesota (Rob and Adam Rupp (beatboxer.) Tim lives in Nashville. Austin lives in Nashville . Adam Chance (called Chance) lives in California. San Diego? Tim (bass) Chance (baritone) Rob (tenor) Austin (high tenor.) Now those are rough evaluations of their voices . All of them can sing several octives...usually at least 3. Tim Foust has 5 octaves and I think Chance might have 3 or 4. The five in the group right now have been together since 2014. And the beatboxer was a founding member in 2000 along with his brother Chris Rupp who left under good terms in 2016. They tour EXTENSIVELY and three of them have separate websites and lots of solo work. That being Austin, Tim and Chance.

Thank you! Home Free is the best, my favorite band. My favorite member is Adam the beatboxer, who founded the band 21 years ago. He has a crazy range from throat bass and low beatboxing notes, to high tenor!

He is my favourite too!

The group was founded by Chris Rupp and his brother Adam(beatboxer) from Mancato Minnisota. The lead tenor, Rob Lundquist is from Minneapolis, Tim Foust(bass) is from Texas. Austin Brown (high tenor) is from south Georgia, and Adam Chance (baritone) is from south Alabama..

As expected: Amazing!!!! Great that everyone has the lead in a part of the song. Here too you can hear so well how important the harmonies and backgrounds vocals/sound is in a song. And of course the inhuman vocal percussion. They are wearing awesome suits. Cool!! It's already in my favorite playlist among so many other songs from Home Free!!

we all feel like you do...just getting into it and then its over. Tim Foust, the bass singer, and first to sing is from Texas but lives in Nashville now. Austin Brown, the high tenor with the long hair is from Tifton Georgia and lives in Nashville too. Adam Chance, the guy on the left is from Alabama and just recently moved from California with his new wife - not sure exactly where they moved. Adam Rupp, the beat boxer and Rob Lundquist, with the beard are from Minnesota. Adam and his brother Chris (can be seen in earlier videos with a cowboy hat) formed the group in 2000 in Minnesota.

Rob and Adam the beat boxer are originally from Minnesota and still live there. Home Free was started by Chris Rupp, his younger brother Adam,, and Adam's best friend Matt Atwood. Adam and Matt were in their teens. Adam, although he has a lovely tenor voice, volunteered to be the group's best boxer when they needed one starting the group. Now Adam is one of the world's best best boxers. For Home Free's twentieth anniversary, Chris with Adam and Matt did a video of their many struggles of starting an acapella group. Home Free is a testament to their determination and grit as very young guys having to learn the business the hard way without any experience. One disastrous night that is funny in retrospect still lives in their memories. Rob, the low tenor, became the next permanent member of Home Free when his previous acapella group ended. Rob started with Home Free when the guys all had part time jobs and performed part time. Home Free since it's beginning had numerous other temporary members. Tim Foust, the bass, toured with Home Free on their first Christmas tour. Although Tim has a five octave range, he is considered one of the great basses in the world. Because of his extremely low notes, he is a basso profundo. He is also a great comedian. Home Free asked him to be permanent, but he refused because they were part time at the time. Also Tim as a guy from South Texas had no interest in living in Minnesota. He later changed his mind as Home Free became full time doing state fairs, cruises, and various venues. He still didn't live in Minnesota. Austin Brown, the high tenor, from South Georgia was a ship performer when he saw Home Free performing as a guest group on a cruise. He immediately wanted to join the group if there was an opening. It was at that time Matt resigned from show business. He was starting a family, his father was extremely ill, and he needed to take over his family's business. Soon after this Home Free auditioned for season four of The Sing Off, the acapella competition show. Pentatonix had won season three. The guys on Home Free labelled themselves as country to ensure being on the show as the token country group. Against their expectations, they won the competition. Voiceplay another famous acapella group was also a competitor that season. Chris quit Home Free for his s own projects several years later. Adam Chance originally from Alabama now lives in California, while Tim and Austin live in Nashville. Chance became the fifth member of Home Free. He was a member of Street Corner Symphony, an acapella group that won second place on the Sing Off's second season. Chance sings baritone and bass.

The original lineup of Home Free were all from Minnesota like Adam abd Chris Rupp, the founders, I believe. Over the years they lost people and added in others. First Rob (Minnesota). Then Tim (Texas) then Austin (Georgia) then finally Chance (Alabama/Florida).

Most of their covers are upgrades, their original songs are crazy good, and then there's the incredible mashups. Their KZbin channel has about 180 music videos and the older music is as good as the new. Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole. ✌

You gotta checkout the "Butts Remix" , a medley of songs about, you guessed it, butts. So funny and so well done. The original two are from MN, Tim was born in Texas, Chance is from Alabama, Austin from Georgia.

Wow, you are one of the first reactors to do this song. Just dropped this morning. Another great original song. Love when they all take turns in singing a verse. Adam once again blows me away with his fabulous vocal percussion. And how cool do the guys look in their uniforms & shades walking out of the airplane hanger. Reminds me of a mixture of "Top Gun" & "The Right Stuff". Another winner!

Five lead singers with very recognizable voices, blending so well on harmony and percussion. This band has been my exclusive playlist for three years now. Sometimes their videos are so good, that reactors have to watch it a second time so they can pay attention to the vocals. I can't wait to see your reaction to DO YOU HEAR WHAT I HEAR. The arrangement is excellent.

Tim, the bass with gray in his hair, wrote this song. Austin (redhead with it in a bun) and Tim write most of their songs. Their newest album So Long Dixie is mostly originals. Yeah, Rob (man in the middle) and Adam (beatboxer) are from MN. The rest are from Georgia, Alabama and Texas although 2 of them now live in Nashville and one lives in CA while the two from MN still live there. They are known for incredible harmonies. Adam sings in How Great Thou Art and a few others but he’s most notable in that one. Some favorites are Helplessly Hoping, Brothers in Arms, In the Blood, What We Ain’t Got, I Can’t Outrun You. Good reaction!😀

Home Free started in Minnesota. A couple of them still live in Minnesota. Tim lives in Nashville. I believe Austin lives in Alabama but it may be Nashville. Not sure where Chance lives now I believe at one time he was in California, I could be wrong on that. If I am can someone correct me.

Once again oujr boys kicked ass!!! This song is PERFECTION!!! I have to ask this question though...It doesn't matter because he always looks good but is it just me or does it seem that every time they're wearing some kind of jumpsuit that Adam ends up with one that either looks to small or waaay to big? LOL

There's a video called "9-5 beatboxing breakdown"" - in it they allll beat box. There are also a couple of videos of Adam Rupp doing a "drum solo". He also does an amazing (non)harmonica (see "Workin' for a Living"). Love this song and your reaction to it. Another new one (that has piano in it) is "Save the World" (co-written by Austin Brown - the high tenor). Both Austin Brown and Tim Foust are songwriters and have written or co-written the songs on their latest album.

This is from their new album that just dropped today as well. All the songs on this album are originals... no covers at all. I am so stoked to see you reacting to them and let alone one that just dropped. It's a great rabbit hole to pursue. If you want to hear Adam (beatboxer) sing more. Listen to "How Great Thou Art" which was filmed on location in Austria or Helplessly Hoping a cover of Crosby, Stills and Nash. They are from Minnesota... but Austin lives in Georgia :)

Rob (& his wife and kids) & Adam and his wife & kids (the beatboxer) are from Minneapolis & Makato respectfully...Chance was born & raised near Mobile, Alabama but he & his wife live in Long Beach, CA (near Los Angeles) & Austin is originally from Tifton, GA but now owns a home in the Nashville suburbs, and finally Tim originally from Nederland, Texas, the base guy & his wife live in another suburb of Nashville. The group started in 2000 when Chris & Adam Rupp were in college in Minnesota & other members were from Minnesota too...by May 2016, Chris decided to leave and pursue a solo career. He was replaced by Adam Chance (who is just Chance in the group to avoid confusion over there being 2 Adam's in the grouo.

Not tryna parse uneccessarily but Rob & Adam are from Minnisota ... Tim (Texas), Chance (Alabama), & Austin (Georgia). So they are not from Minnesota. They are from America. Largely, the midwest & south. Just sayin.
