Do they have ANY songs that are THEIRS’. Great voices and harmonies, nonetheless.
@RAW2881 Жыл бұрын
@@FXMAN66 Yes they have quite a bit of original stuff they Just put out a trilogy written buy Austin Brown here recently a Three part songs/Videos called Stargazer Lilies. I know 10 of the 12 songs on the 2019 Album Dive Bar Saints were Orginal songs. Ummm Land of the Free I know was written by Tim Foust. Most of their new Album So Long Dixie is all Orginals. All I can think of at the moment.

@@FXMAN66thank you! THEY'RE A COVER BAND! ALL THESE REACTION PPL OVERREACTING TO THIS RIDICULOUS VIDEO... I HAVE LIKE 11 OTHER PEOPLE IN THE LAST 2 WEEKS OVERREACTING TO THIS AS IF...THIS IS THEIR SONG! THANKS FOR BEING ONE OF THE FEW WHO GETS THIS! Because now... Everybody in town and their brother thinks they own this song! Everybody's being misled. Meanwhile they have no idea about the cultural significance of Percy Sledge! HOW hard it was for Black artists to even get onto the radio in the 60's and 70's. HOW insane the odds were...that the two songwriters were black as well. This was like a song and it was a triple...and it hit. NOW DECADES LATER everybody's culturally appropriating this shit... This is like the gentrification generation! It's bad enough THEY can't sing and use auto tune

@christinegelabert1651 Wow. As a matter of fact, they give credit where credit is do when they cover peoples songs. Tim Foust the Bass is a huge Do Whoop fan of the 50s and 60s music and made a solo album tribute to it actually. Please dont come on here and talk out of ur azz if u dont know facts. Have you ever heard them perform something with no mics. Its pretty amazing, so I wouldn't blast them with the autotune bs that most of the modern-day day popular top chart singers that are using instruments use in all their studio stuff. These guys are pretty talented. I've seen them live 3 times now, and Im impressed every time. And please read my comment above they have plenty of original content. Once again, do your homework. Have a blessed day. 😊

Austin did a fabulous job of this classic song. Loved Percy Sledge's version, but this was taken to another level. I think it is also better than Michael Bolton's version. And remember this was done during quarantine, so the guys weren't even together. The backing harmonies are great, along with Tim's bass. And Adam's vocal percussion is outstanding. Drummers have often commented on just how realistic his sound is. This is why these guys are my favorite a cappella group.

The best live performance I ever experienced was probably Percy Sledge at Peabody's Warehouse at 21st & Pacific in Virginia Beach. The club was on the second floor of the building and not extremely large. The bandstand wasn't raised much so people sat on the dance floor and filled the rest of the space standing. It was an intimate setting and my wondering if Percy could possibly sound like the studio recording was soon answered beyond any doubt. The man had pipes. The brass was spot on and Percy worked up one heck of a sweat. The real deal.

Austin blew this out of the water. Percy Sledge sang this with pathos. Austin sang this with adoration. The guys, naturally, backed up his vocals beautifully. He was singing to his girlfriend who was in the studio, off camera. Hence, the wonderful expression of emotion in his face and body movements. This was another video shot during quarantine.

For the longest time I never focused on the title and lyrics of the song: "When A Man Loves A Woman". The song isn't about two people in love, it's just about a man being in love with a woman and how his world has been flipped upside down. Once I thought about that(past experience helped lol) I realized how accurate these lyrics can be and I've enjoyed it even more of late.
