You are an inspiration to the young women who are starting to learn to cook meals for their family. Very good teacher and you break down each step.

That’s exactly how I cook my chicken too. My mama thought me as a teenager how to fry chicken and she did just like you do. No milk, no buttermilk no nothing but salt, pepper and flour and of course, a lid. Yum 😋

Thank you Pam😊… I’m so happy to know others cook theirs like this…. I was a little hesitant to do it for fear of negative comments but so far most are enjoying the nostalgic aspect of it 😍

I remember watching my mom , (Texas born and raised) , cut up chickens.....I even remember seeing her ring their necks or use a small hatchet. She always cut it so there was a wishbone piece for me. Her seasoning was simple, salt; pepper in the flour in a paper bag. After soaking the chicken a short time in some buttermilk she would drop the pieces of chicken in a few at a time, close it up and shake it . She also fried it in her big cast iron skillet with a mix of Crisco and some bacon grease and like you flip it and put a lid on it. My best friend of 65 years still talks about my mom's fried chicken and how good it was. I can make it but never as good as hers. I love watching you cook, it really takes me back. Can I come have dinner with you?😉

Hi Talli, I've been watching you for a little while, and I love the videos! My Nana and my mom used to cook their chicken the same way, simple salt and pepper, like your mom. You're a great southern cook and you remind me of the way my family down south used to cook, and everything was so delicious!! Thanks for the sharing your recipes and skills!! God bless.

I can remember as a girl my mother always had fried chicken every Sunday. She used Crisco on the can. She shook her chicken in paper bag with flour. It was yummy. With mashed potatoes and gravy. Yummy.

I grew up eating fried chicken like yours except for the Cajun seasoning. After that came out, it wasn’t long before we were eating chicken just like yours. Mm, mm. Talk about good!

In my opinion... The best fried chicken is simple. Salt, pepper and sweet paprika. Everybody thinks they are an iron chef. They aren't. Keep it simple.

Hi Miss Talli Faye. That's how my momma made her chicken. Just using salt, pepper and flour. You could really taste the flavor of the chicken. It was soo good. Yes, now days they are tough. I don't know why. Thanks for sharing. Karla in Cali.

This is an awesome recipe on how most Southern cooks cook their chicken. I know first hand from a relative who is married to a Southern lady who made chicken this way and it was just to die for! But I have to tell you Talli that when you leave this Earth and you go to be with our dear sweet Lord in heaven they are going to put on your tombstone the following words: "Don't Be Scared!" 🤣🤣 Every time you say that I laugh so hard but it's such good advice! Cuz we need to take a few chances and some risks to try and find the perfect recipe! Btw your chicken looked amazing as all your dishes do! ❤️
