Hey Emma! For that plant in your office : you could repot it and even chop off some of those dried leaves (right at the base), obviously strategically so as not to leave the plant too bare.. If it is thriving, new shoots will spring up in no time. The soil should ALWAYS be moist, by the way. Do not hesitate to give it a little drink whenever you think of it. I have the same at home and managed to fix it after coming back from holiday to find it parched! Kind regards from France, where I watch your videos to improve my English. WOW what can I say???? No wonders you love your home. it is absolutely lovely!!! ....and that is before you did some of your decorating, that I am catching up on now. Going through all the older videos. I did not realise you are both full-time Vloggers. WOW!!! Spending time together and work together!! I can understand why Simon loves the painting of Venice, it is the memories. I love Rome, and some of the landmarks there (although I went there alone, it still holds fabulous memories for me). You certainly put a lot of effort into the description below, must have taken hours!!!!! Thank you for taking the time to do this tour. (I would love white bedding but - pets, pets, pets!!! Wedding guest thumb print tree is such a lovely idea to keep such a memory... We have hardwood/ceramic floors throughout our house, like yours we carpeted the stairs for dog safety lol. I simply could not pick a fav room, they are all great~ thanks for sharing.

Your house layout is amazing. It is my biggest design pet peeve to see open kitchens (with living room flowing into the kitchen). It's been making my house hunt here in New York a night mare because every single renovation features this open concept. Sigh If I see a layout like yours I will grab it super fast lol.

Yeh a lot of modern or renovated homes have that open layout, I prefer to have a separate kitchen too. Our house is pretty old, built in the 1800s so it's still the traditional layout bar the extension x

Beautiful, I love the levels and the colors are very nice 🐥 the hardwood floors are very nice in what looks like a grey wash. Your blue velvet chair is nice and tops off the room. Thank you for being so generous to show your house 🏡 great taste 🍃🌿I had a plant like the office one and I had to let it drain completely when I watered it, so I'd take it outside or in the sink and water 💦 it and it grew better.

Love your home and your interior style. Enjoy the modern simplicity. I have been meaning to change and put our own stamp on our hallway and bedroom for a while. Ur video has motivated me to get going and am determined to get it done this year! What floorboard colour is in your bedroom please? I am planning to get rid of our carpet to floorboard. So far have decided on a soft white with grey undertone for most of the walls for a brighter look and then one wall will choose to paint it a dark charcoal colour for a feature wall. I have so much crap I need to get rid of first too, need to go minimalistic.

We have white in the bedroom and grey downstairs, we have to have light colours because of the dog hair, otherwise it would drive me around the bend and I would be hoovering 24/7 haha x

Love your video on your adorable Chihuahuas! That caught my eye because I have a long-haired Chihuahua and I seriously know the hair situation! She's a little diva and has us wrapped around her little paw! We also have a tiny Yorky with no problems with leaving hair all around. Her problem ...she tries to rule the house… A little bully! I lived in England for about 11 years and absolutely loved it. I enjoy watching videos from England for that reason, it certainly makes me miss my second home. look forward to watching more of your videos!

I almost forgot… I bought a Roomba, the one recommended for dog shedding, I think 800 series......helps with floor hair ha ha… And I use a FURminator for brushing.both have really helped.

Beautiful home. We moved in to a new house a year ago and still haven't got curtains/blinds lol. So expensive to get ceiling lights and curtains! You're not wrong there! Simon loves waking up to natural light which is all well and good in Winter when it doesn't get light until 8am but in Summer when it starts getting right at 3am I'm wide awake at the slightest light coming through 😳 So we had to get black out curtains 🤣

Beautiful house and I actuslly like the kitchen. How do you keep it so clean? I have 4 dogs and its a nightmare. ....in and out if the garden. I live in Spain so no carpets lol

Summer isn't so bad because there's no mud but in the Winter it's a bit different because they get muddy. Luckily they're small enough to fit in the sink and I normally have a kitty litter tray with some warm water in so that when they come in they get a little foot dunk in the tray and then I towel them off before they can come back upstairs and jump all over everything. The only issue we really get with the dogs is the hair, it drives me round the bend because I hoover twice a day. Having said that, they're so worth it ☺️

Question...do you keep your big (3) cushions on the bed when you sleep? Absolutely lovee the house! One of the best decors I've seen. Just a quick question, with furniture for the garden like the sofa bed - do you cover it up each time it rains here?! Or is it fine with showers of rain?

Thank you very much. The garden furniture is kept covered unless we use it. Especially over night as even in the Summer there can be condensation and this will rot the metal parts of the furniture and it won't last as long. You should have them covered whenever not in use 👍🏼

I don't think it would be worth the money to be honest. We've still got the basement to convert and the loft and once we've done those we'd probably move because this house won't be big enough if and when we decide to have children x

I said the same thing but Simon is the chef when it comes to BBQ's and the BBQ is down toward the bottom of the garden and he said he would feel secluded when cooking if we were all sat at the top so we decided to have it this way so he could interact and cook at the same time 🙊 Bless him 💓

The bedroom is always a good place to start because it's often the highest room in the house so if there's going to be any dust then it's good to start at the top and work your way down. Plus it's nice to have a relaxing clean space to climb into at night 👍🏼

The large square (Continental) ones at the back are 65x65cm and then our normal bed pillows are super king size 👍🏼
