Am glad to have ran into this video as of now it hard or impossible to find the real version of this set. Sadly I did not know I purchased a fake until now. I purchased one on ebay that like this now i have to go though the hassle get my money back. Thanks for making this helps alot. Sad many scammers selling this garbage on ebay.

Another sweet boxset my friend! I thought this was a good show. It's cool to see it was your favorite growing up as a kid. The tape measure looks to be missing. I can tell it's wrapped in plastic. That sick the first season was broken. They should have glued it down. The drill holes look cool. It does look defective. A downside for one of the discs not to be readable. I really loved Richard Karn in the show. Those discs look blurry also. Take care! I like how he was a show host. :)

It’s a good thing I watch this after I found this on amazon but I didn’t order it yet for quite a few reasons one of them being it’s more of a Christmas or birthday present because it’s over 100 dollars

Just be careful because I'm not sure if you seen the comments. This is a bootleg version. The legit copy has the measuring tape in it. I would not reccomend this because it's scratched up and falling apart.

Awesome set, never seen the show but sounds really good, will have to look it up. The set itself looks great love the toolbox theme! Sorry to hear about the mix up with the tape measure, some sellers on Ebay can be such idiots! Thanks for sharing buddy, another amazing boxset!

This is probably one of the BEST family comedy show ever made. Aside from being really funny, what makes this show special is that it inculcates traditional family values, masculinity for men, femininity for women, it covers marriage issues, parent/child issues, and constructive moral/ethical solutions that heal, not humiliate or destroy. Basically, everything that the standards of 2023 have a deep HATRED for today. This show is safe to watch with kids unlike these days where you have to pre-screen everything and keep second-guessing what is safe to let your kids watch. Home Improvement is a metaphor. The comedy in the show is from a family man's perspective and presents its strengths and weaknesses in really funny ways. In each episode Tim encounters problems/makes mistakes and doesn't know how to solve them, but goes through a process of seeking wisdom, learning something new about women, his wife, his kids, and things heal and relationships strengthen, thereby Improving his Home. It's excellent comedy, I watched it when it aired and always had big laughs.

I compared what I got yesterday with my neighbor boy mine felt lighter and you can tell some of the artwork was not quite right the font was darker on the official ones just thought you could tell the differences it definitely look like a bootleg that I got I'm sending my back and get an official one with the tape measure

Keep me updated on how that goes. I waited too long to apply for a refund because I didn't watch this right away. I wish I would have at least noticed the flaws within the time frame of returns.

Sorry to hear about your problem with the box set. I ordered the same one off of amazon last week, and it was supposed to come Tuesday. It was shipped with FedEx and it said delivered, but my item was not delivered to my address. So, I contacted the seller, and they ordered me another one. It has the blue splatter, but it was a new set. I hope it's legit.

I just received the box set and all the discs were brand new there was no picture of a ruler and I didn’t receive a ruler but I didn’t expect one because there was no picture of one on my box I don’t think that the dish that you got were original you should contact the manufacturer or purchase another box set and And if it’s the same send it back if it’s not the same then you will know what the problem is

I didn't get my money back because by the time I got to the disc that were messed up, it was too late. I wasn't able to watch them that fast to get to it, but we win some and we lose some. I'll just me more careful next time when I order through eBay. Thanks for stopping by.

Yeah, I think you got a bootleg one. They didn't make many real copies of this, so the bootlegers went crazy making mad money with fakes, and they still are to this day. They didn't have the means to fake the tool, so that is a give away. I just can't stand the cruddy DVDs they use that usually don't even play most of the time. They go through all this trouble to fake the packaging and use cheap single layer DVDs because they're cheaper. Shame folks can't get legit stuff anymore because this is such a problem now.

Same sorta thing happens with a Stargate DVD set, so i asked for a refund and got it.

xwing 22 there is a version that has the blue spot, but in front of it displays a Binford tape measure. That's the one the eBay seller was advertising, but then I got this.

Avoid the version that doesn't have the Tape Measure. They compressed the video down for some reason. The individual season was dvd9 disks but this version is dvd-5 with the same disc count but compressed video.

Regardless, I'd love to find the one with the tape measure, or I hope they release the series on Blu-ray.

@@surroundsoundfreak13 They did put out two versions and the latest version is the one you got. It was poorly made. It's definitely not a bootleg but there were some quality control issues going on with the latest version.

Sorry. This entire box is a bootleg. I just bought one myself. They actually look even better nowadays, but the discs are all 'shrunk' to single layer capacity instead of dual layer that the legit discs would be. I'd say never by any sets from Ebay. I just bought 12 shows not knowing and 9 are very good fakes, but all single layer lower bitrate dvds.

You ever get a real box set? I ended up finding one on Ebay for about $40. It's really sad. The one or 2 legit boxes are scattered in with the multitude of fakes on Ebay. Just look for one with real photos and photos of the tool, and you will be set. Good luck.

Surround Sound Freak 13 got mine off Ebay .. no scratches or glitchy yet.. i was a little worried cuz mine didnt have the tape measure like yours but maybe they discontinued that feature of it.... glad i got it though i been laughin so much lol

@@surroundsoundfreak13 I had two seasons already except 7 and 6 I wanted them in that tool box box it so that's why I bought this I compared the disks and yeah you can tell that they're off the artwork on the disks I message the seller I'm waiting to hear back if I don't get a refund bad feedback their way I got to let people know what they're getting not having a tape measure doesn't bother me as much as the disks because that's what you're going to be watching the content on the discs it's a very good I think bootleg maybe it's not even a boot like I don't know maybe that's the way they're doing it now but the official seasons I have don't match up they are work quite right
