I've been enjoying your progress to making bases and being so involved with us viewers, keep doing what you're doing! (P.S. I recommend not focusing on the algorithm too much. I have my own experiences, it get tiring fast. Make your channel more like a diary of games you like to play, I've had a better experience doing that personally.)

You might be able to get more out of cobblestone if you smelt it, regular stone can make bricks, or be smelted further into smooth stone

Tuff bricks would probably be a great visual improvement over the cobblestone look! :D
