I did this to my truck a couple months ago. I found out after I installed everything that a gas generator puts out the same amount of carbon monoxide as 400 idling cars. I installed a carbon monoxide detector in my truck and it saved my life one night. I took it all off my truck and decided I could trust my life to a detector that could fail. Please be safe and atleast install a detector in your truck. Mine seemed to work fine out in the open but a crowded truckstop in Memphis was almost my last night on earth if not for the detector. .

Use anti seize on the hardware.

I was just curious Boss how you we're fastening the tool box to the frame & did you say that your drill bit got dull from drilling the 1st hole ??? ???

I was hoping you were going to answer my question because i don't want to see you innocently cause any avoidable damage ??? i know you put wood & maybe a piece of rubber underneath witch is all fine to give you room to open the tool box door Rite but did you drill the 1st hole threw the top of the frame rail ???
