wouldn`t last me very long my bolens would bend that treated rod like a u shape but as long as it lasts you that all that counts good job

sir i have a simular but mine is mounted under. is it possable to pick your brain on how to change it over from manual (lever) up and down and i have to get off the lawn tractor to move it left and right with a pin to change it over to operate mechanicaly

Those look like wiper motors off cars. You can also use electric window motors as well. Wiper motors have more power and seem to longer because they're made for constant use (wiping your windshield in the rain) In lighter application such as this, they actually work pretty well if you seal them from the elements.
