Brother don’t give food immediately after walk . At least wait for 20-30 minutes . It can gradually lead to Bloat and gas in adult . Its very prevalent in Deep chested breed dog just like i have English Labrador .

Please soak rice and other grains overnight and throw away the water. He is young now but will have issues later on a grain heavy diet if you do not remove the phytic acid content before feeding. ( Should do the same for humans btw) . Secondly please feed seasonal veggies, especially root veggies like carrot and sweet potatoes. Winter veggies like methi are good. Lauki, kaddu are great too. Rotties have a high food drive so he will eat anything but if the diet is not well rounded he will suffer later. Add on Virgin organic coconut oil once a day . Also supplement with a vert approved multi-vite. I agree home cooked food is the best.

Its nice that you are changing the food but If you are giving home made food only then you have to add supplements too... now if i may suggest then kindly give dog food for a year atleast ,you can switch between orijen ,taste of the wild ,farmina and royal canin or i would recmnd you to measure the quantity of dog food per day for balanced meal... like give 400 grams of dog food either in the morning and home made food in next two meals or divide that 400grams into three meals and add home made food into it...that will ensure complete optimum growth and you don’t need supplements but if you want then add one calcium tablet and one multivitamin tablet per day for 20 days and then no supplements for next 10 days.... Not necessarily. One can give homemade food with supplements from puppyhood and still hv nutritional adequacy.in fact if you follow raw with supplements thats the best diet.

Sarah Mirza obviously it’s not necessary...if you can provide that optimum nutrition in every meal ,every day ,every week,every month every year then it is not ...but if you cant then dog food comes in with complete balanced diet...i am not promoting dog food but yes i am if its orijen/premium level dog food plus it guarantees the good growth where as home made food does not because you just can’t keep calculating carbohydrates proteins etc...and again my thoughts about raw diet in India is that if you love your pet kindly dont use raw🙏🏻...always cook/boil their food otherwise you are looking at the much worse situation than balanced diet🙏🏻..i am sure some people give raw but its to much of a hassle and risk of worm increases... Sarah Mirza Sarah Mirza That statement that it causes heart diseases in dogs is like the study conducted on our very own wheat chapati which was said to cause cancer in human(but if you go in details lot of other factors were involved)....what you said is a generalised statement without going into details...if i may ...first of all you are talking about DCM( Dilated cardiomyopathy ) and it has been researched that In addition to diet(which is of high pea and lentil protein and potato), they found(2020 updated study) that genetics and breed are also factors in which pets develop heart disease...and the deficiency of taurine(it is said that taurine is present in cheap dog foods because of byproduct) is also the cause ...and some diet may cause that deficiency...but again you cannot blame it completely on dog food... Now if we talk about the concept of raw feeding ....in 2017 study indicated and their was a universal consensus among veterinarians that raw animal products were unsafe and that cooking was the best way to rid the foods of pathogens and that too not only for dogs but the people around them specially children because they are high risk of contracting salmonella bacteria And dogs are at risk of tapeworm and other heartworm related diseases.... And to avoid that you can also give monthly heartworm prevention like i give ipraz from virbac now and then to keep that in check .... Anyway lot of other factors are there but with all due respect kindly do little bit study yourself rather than putting statements out there ..there is no one reason ...similarly Bravecto which is a popular fles and tick prevention medicine which is powerful and there are cases in which it has caused seizures in dogs...but again it depends on dog and its health condition and several other factors because i have given that medicine several times to my dog and it works like a charm so i can say that its a very good option(each of his own as you said) ...but i always say to consult your vet who will check dogs medical history and then recommend it.... In short everything has a side effect hence we have to moderate it and i wanted to say that dog food is good for growth at early stages as most of us can’t provide balanced diet every day for their growth...i wasn’t suggesting grain free food because that was designed for dogs with grain allergy that’s why i said to add home made food in addition to dog food.... Anyway this had been a very good debate people reading this will surely gain some important points from this and do share your dog diet routine so that people can benefit from that too....God Bless👍🏻🙂

@@LeoCaneCorsoIndia looks like we are on opposite ends of the spectrum...i believe and feed all natural to my pack..never encountered a problem with raw..or homemade that I give them..since I believe and all raw feeders and holistic veterinarians around the world that since dogs descend from wolves they are carnivores and hence must eat the raw food they hv always eaten and that also includes the naturally fermented vegs n berries that wolves eat from the ground.i believe in minimum vaccinations, minimum medication, don't give any of the commercial anti tick n flea stuff..i work with herbs for nutrition as well as for tick n worm prevention...but as you believe in the goodness of dog food and the meds you give...to each his own as I said before..as long as the kids are healthy and happy...and yes genetics do matter,so does bloodline and good ethical breeding..so long as we promote that we have healthier pups who can grow to be happy healthy adults with a long life ahead of them.so cheers to that👍

@@ayushmanhota2041 skip dal. Paneer is a good source of protein. Also eggs. Make a rice khichdi with the said veggies. At feeding time crumble some paneer into it. Also add scrambled egg.

Its ok to give bone. If it's a large bone like legs and all. It won't make them choke because they will chew, small bones are not good though.

It's very good that you give your dog homemade food...but be careful that it is not excess...6 eggs, rice, roti and chicken, for a puppy may be excess according to his age and weight..and keep in mind that their food should be according to their age and weight and it goes on increasing as weight increase and full grown dogs has fixed weight limits also according to its breed so as to keep them healthy.... Sirji I really love the way you take care of thor. Especially mummyji has immense care and love for Thor. Just a loving suggestion @7m:30sec I saw a chicken diet. It's a very good source of protein. But try giving boneless or pieces with soft bones. Chicken bones especially leg piece are sharp and for a puppy it may be fatal if not chewed properly. This is a petlovers advise with a warm heart. Please don't give so much grains to him (rice, chapaati). Dogs should not be fed grains, and also include more meats and organs in the diet, they are not meant to survive off vegetarian food only... they'll lose most of the important nutrients.

Hi I have indie pup I give Marie biscuits or pedigree in morning aa breakfast then at 1 I give either rice and curd or rice mixed with pedigree gravy for pups or khichdi.then again at 4/5 om I give them biscuits or pedigree then at 9 I give food made up of nachni flour mixed with coconut crush,flax seeds,varyali carrot and peas. I have two pups one of 5 months and another of 2.5 months So is it right ?

Good effort but don't give him biscuits and rice too much. Include more meat and organs, 1 egg per puppy daily, and switch from pedigree to a better brand with better ingredients. You can switch to Drools puppy, it's not the best but better than Pedigree and cheaper.
