The grass catcher on my Scag mower was worn out and damaged so I improvised a new one which works great.

Yeah, but if it were much bigger it would be inconveniently heavy. Maybe 20% bigger would be OK.

I hadn't thought of it that way, but yes, I built a rabbit cage for my daughter's rabbit pretty much the same way.... but bigger. The angle is important too, if you make the bottom the same width as the top it drags on the ground and doesn't fill right.

Depends on how particular you are about the particles left on the lawn. Add smaller hole screen for less residue to suit your needs. Thanks for inspiration!
