What if you put a lose chain behind it from one side to the other side. That would act like your rake I think.

Just found your Chanel , I’m new to farming , just retired , bought my first tractor with tiller and this looks a great idea , I did have a heart attack a few years ago so looking for the easier way of growing our food as the prices are crazy here in Europe . As a mechanic, I called your "farmers wrench set" a hammer. Nice row maker! If my gardens were longer and not so fenced-in, I would make one. I'm getting too old for digging raised rows in mud too. The only issue I see with your technique is that you will not be able to plant a cover crop for the winter.

Put an old mud flap across the back and cut it out to the shape you want. A board or more metal will either not stand up to the stress or add weight. The rubber mud flap will flex under load but still hold shape...and probably free

Bolt a board to the angle iron as a screed to level the top of the raised bed.

Great how you video! Add bed shaper in the title it really helps with the views. People have different names for the same thing row maker bed shaper really helped me out on my video. If you wanna make your walkways a bit wider add a sweeper in the opposite direction of the rows. It just pushes the dirt over 10 inches to a foot. Gives you a bit wider of a row to walk and also pushed the dirt to the area where the tiller will used it on the next row. Good luck with the video and the garden bro! Take care and God bless! Gro Dat!!

Leave the ridges. Stagger plant. Put a old garden hose with a pinhole every 30" down the center of the row. Im doing this because I got tired of watering the weeds in the furrows.

Great idea and great build! Suggestion, couldn’t you add a lower piece of angle iron onto the back angle iron that ties both beams together? You could drop it to a height that would level off the tops of your raised beds like a sweeper bar which would keep you from having to finish it off by hand with a rake. Maybe even make it adjustable so you could change the height of it.

I use a hiller , same as what you would use to hill your potatoes or sweet corn. Just bed the row up high then go back over with tiller on tractor to desired height of bed. Makes a beautiful bed just like yours. Yours is a great idea though. Just another way to achieve same result

Good effort , where there is the will there is the way, what i suggest you would have installed 2x medium wide plough on both back side edges, but it would have resistant for your rotar carrier to dug in ... It would have need for more horse power and at the end if there would have been wheel drive planter.

That's cool. Worked better than I first thought. I'll have to do something like this. Coincidentally, Yanmar makes an implement that Tills, Hills, covers with plastic,(tucking it in too) and lays irrigation tube all at once. It's pricey....but wow....if'n I could 'ford it...well, I'd just hafta do it.. 😂

From watching the video, but it may have been your angle causing the middle not to be filled. I think if you would have adjusted the top link outward to lower the back down more it would have been flat
