This console was the first fan-made console I ever really saw. It captured the imagination of my seven year old self immediately and probably inspired me to immediately go out and gather some cardboard and visit car boot sails to build my own. The project has expanded a little since then but I still owe it all to you for inspiring me all those years ago. So thanks 😁. It’s a truly beautiful console and, like the real TARDIS, she’l live on forever in the internet, being there to materialise in our recommended every few years

No the engine is in the lower parts of the tardis called the EYE OF HARMONY

DevEye **sigh** let me compare this to a car... the “eye of harmony” is the car battery while the motor of the car is the engines and the pistons in the engines are the time rotar, THERE DONE

It looks very impressive indeed. One thing I absolutely must point out, though - The magnetron part at 0:26 to 0:28 and 0:43 to 0:46 contains a beryllium compound in the pink ceramic separator. If this component breaks, it becomes an airborne hazard and can cause various lung diseases. You might want to remove it for safety reasons, and put it somewhere where it can't get broken.

I mean, it reminds me of Tennant and Smith's(first) console rooms with all of the cool bits and pieces on the console itself and that nice crackle effect around it as well as the design of the room being reminiscent of the original Hartnell type console room and it's in that sense makes it the perfect fan console room.

woah!! Now this is amazing! Great to see you talking a bit around it. This seems way much more complex thing to do than building a full size TARDIS like I did. Good question. The building it's is moveable, but if we can't afford to move it, the tardis can be disassembled and packed up.

I figure $1500 in AUD for all the materials apart from the controls. it's hard to gauge how much they'd be because they're antiques. sometimes that sorta stuff you find dirt cheap in thrift shops etc. and sometimes it can cost a mint.
