I'm not sure about the others. However, the images between 2.20-3.45 are from Istanbul, the city where I lived. Istanbul Galata district.

Judging from the turbans and caps, ~ 5:30, some are from Egypt, maybe Lybia. The stuff before looks European: maybe Greece or southern Italy? @ 7:30 I've got no clue, beyond it being a former Ottoman province; I'm not aware of any ruins that look like that in the Levant, where I'm from, save in Lebanon--but that place was Catholic back then. I know a lot of Roman era ruins exist in Libya--particularly near Benghazi. @ 11:41 onward That would probably be the Palestine Mandate: the clothes, the way people behave, and the occasional Hebrew letter sign all point to that; some Jewish guys were walking by too. He must have traveled to the desert since he meets Bedouin ladies near the end.
