My aunt used to go there with my grandparents as a little girl. She is in her 80's now. She remembers watching the diving white horses.

I can't believe how clear the video is from so long ago. The small children in the videos are in their 80's if still alive.

the way old people talked about these days, they were lying to me, these were great days in the middle of a world War. We live in bleek times struggling to keep a roof over our heads.

Wartime in America was a happier time than today.

Was it? In what sense? It wasn't so happy for the parents who received word that their son had been killed. Happiness is a relative term. One can be happy in any era.

except for the shots of the military men on the beach, hard to believe there was a war going on only 6 minths or so after Pearl Harbor. I was 5 when these films were taken but I remember the "walking" on the beach from later on. Great insight into bathing suit and leisure ware styles.

there's a few, but the majority were slim. We're being poisoned by roundup by the scientific class, the technocrats who wish us gone so they can create a utopia just for themselves.

Had America stayed out of the war, life would probably look just like this today.
