Great film! At the 8:11 mark, I counted 45 stars on a large flag. Must have been an old one. That would have been outdated by 1908. The house where I grew up appears at the 8:12 mark.

albeit at a different city, it's still so neat seeing some (row) housing development pioneering the terrain and isolated for blocks' all around it --- I've always wondered how those appearances must've looked when coming upon old real estate alien in the sea of much newer development all about it (8:15)

My mother and her siblings were confirmed in the German Reformed Church. That was in the 1930's I would love to know if they have any historical information from that time. Nice Movies

Great film! Possibly 1939, but not 1929 by the autos parked on the streets.

very nice! if the date is correct my Dad wouldve been 12.Wondering if it was him the young boy with dark hair on the left using the cane while the clip of the men shaking hands/he probably is in the parade crowd at least..

I hadn't thought colour film as having its advent any earlier than the Thirties...

The date is probably not correct. I am no expert, but around the 2:00 minute mark there is what appears to be an ambulance, and with a grille and fenders like that, it has to be no later than sometime in the late 1030s or even 40s.

I too had wondered this ... these bites uploaded onto the Net, the Web get misdated quite often. The clothing and its tell-tale cuts here, however, are Thirties. The commercial availability of colour film hadn't readied by 1935 either ;)

hilarious --- those cleptoparasitic dignataries all dimmed in the midst of their ribbons there until the lens shutters thereabouts got to clicking simultaneously over & over --- :brrrRrr: sorcery...
