I wouldn’t have your WiFi adapter inside a metal case. It act as a faraday cage and will reduce the signal’s strength.

Need a multi gig switch, it’s 1 gig unless you’re on GPON then yes it’s 900/900; but you live in a MDU with upgraded optics so you should get xpon speeds unless you’re on an alt op splitter. I’d upgrade to 5 gig and then have them drop it down through the SHM app that way you’re moved to xpon splitter and can get 1300/1300

They’ve most likely already got him on an Xpon splitter, majority of new customers who order more than the basic 300 are put on GPON, and as of lately they companies have been wanting to switch everything over to XGPON

Good that you connected your remote eero devices by ethernet, but your RJ45 cable terminations are terrible. Go to reputable sources (one example - true cable) and learn to terminate ethernet cables correctly.

Or just use a Belkin box or 8 port PCB ethernet device. These are really good for staying organized so you can lable things and use patch cords instead to help with cable management

My GB connection is 1.2gb up and 1.2 GB down which means you have the old school fiber, I have 5gb available but don't need that much

FYI: Definitely fix the tight bend on you fiber jumper that is going into the gateway … it has fiberglass inside that jumper -tight bends/high pressure WILL crack/fracture/break the fiber inside and you WILL lose service instantly 😂😂😂

Question to all, why would you not go from AT&T Router/Modem unit to the Gigabit Switch and then to the Eero 6 Plus unit?

If he goes through the eero then all devices can talk to each other wired or wireless, for example casting to smart tv. If he goes to the switch first - then wired devices will be on a separate network, although some devices will still be able to communicate with devices on eero but not all.

And for that set-up.... May as well turn off the WiFi on the eero router/node too. Since it obviously can't transmit or receive RF through the metal utility box. That's what I don't like about this set-up. I'd have to sacrifice WiFi capability on one of the eero mesh nodes.
