What an awesome video! I agree that General Nathaneal Greene is probably one of the most important leaders of the American war for independence. Had he lived longer and gotten involved in politics, there’s a good chance he might’ve become President at some point. Keep up the great work! Aloha 🤙🏼

Thanks! I agree- had Greene been around he at least would’ve been in Washington’s Cabinet.

Thank you for the fantastic tour and conversation about General Greene. I work at several of the Southern Campaign National Parks, Cowpens, Ninety Six, and Kings Mountain, and it's been awesome to see the beginnings of a man so renowned for his service to and sacrifice for our great nation! Huzzah!

Wow things have changed since this video. You should see the cemetery today. Myself and a few others have repaired half of the stones . I love seeing this video every time it pops up. Thanks again and hope to see you again someday. Josh

Hey Josh! Great to hear from you. Also great to hear (and not surprised) that you all have continued your preservation efforts at the Homestead. Hopefully I can get back to New England soon to visit. Take care!

I did a paper in my American Revolution class as an undergrad that focused on the women at Valley Forge. I specifically looked at the roles of Martha Washington and Catherine Greene.

We here in North Carolina have long respected Nathanael Greene, after whom Greensboro is named. I'm originally from Georgia and know well also his connections to that state and Savannah. I think Josh was a great guide. My wife and I really loved his presentation.

This is so cool!!! I literally found out last night, that my great grandmother Elizabeth Greene is a discindent of General Nathanael Greene. It's mind blowing what my fiancee has discovered about my family. My PaPa served in WW2, my great papa served in WW1 (he was married to Elizabeth), his papa, my great great great papa was insisted at 15 in the civil war, and made it through the civil war an was 20 when he got out. I found their enlistment cards too! Mind blown today, 37 years old an just finding this out! Thank you for posting this, as I'm stuck in Oklahoma an would never be able to see something like this! From revolutionary war, to current day, still have family in the military. Explains why I've always been such a patriot and love my country to death! God bless America 🇺🇸

Thank You for posting this video and thank you to Josh for his knowledge and sharing that. I knew of General Greene and his contributions to the Revolution but had not known how young he passed, his connection to Georgia and why, that he was raised in a Quaker Family. I learned so much. Again, thank you both. This was just Splendid! He would have made an awesome US President.

My ancestor's wife was Hannah Greene. Her son was Gen. Greene's Camp-De -Aide. He received a sword from Congress which is in the Ga. Capital. His name was Stephen Calfrey Pearce. My ancestor was Joshua Pearce who owned an Inn on the old road from Savannah To Augusta. He entertained Pres. Washington and the Marque De Lafayette at his Inn. I do not know if the Greene families are connected but it is possible.

I'm enjoying the video because I was born in Providence Plantations. However, the colonists did not kick the Indians off their land. If you will recall, Roger Williams purchased a lot of land from the Narragansetts. The chief also got a lifetime pass to the stores at the trading post.

I live about 3 miles from this house. It's not much but a 4 room house. but you can feel the history both inside and out. there is a small family graveyard behind the house that some dope heads vandalized in the 1970's. RI has alot of historic places. Smiths Castle and Fort Adams are a few. There is Benenfit St. with a mile of 18th. century houses in Providence.
