Home office for 2 + Art studio makeover & tour

We finally have a proper home office!!!! ;u;
I can't believe how long we were working in that junkyard... hahahaha. We kept pushing the makeover to later and concentrated on other rooms, mainly because the office seemed SO OVERWHELMING (if you saw the before videos you know why) but in the end, it took only 4 days???!!! Turns out all we needed to do is roll up our sleeves and actually start!
We also managed to do it on a budget of 600€ as we reused a few pieces (tabletops, ivar shelves) and I DIYed a pegboard. For a space for 2 people, 600€ is a really good price! Now we have a space that's airy, light and filled with so many of our lovely plants 🌱 (plant buddies are essential for creativity)

@@livil826 I’ve had the same dresser that I’ve had since I was born (I turned 20 in Sept) that has traveled states with me! The only change I made to it was taking off the Disney princess stickers and painting it white from it original light wood color. I recently asked my mom where she got it, she told me that my uncle had made it from scratch! It’s real wood and heavy so it’s a bit difficult to move but I have it in a spot in my room that makes me so happy 🤗

I just want to say I love how you incorporate your partner's needs into your makeovers! as someone with a partner who is also into home decor (and low-key also has better taste than me lol) it gives me hope that I too can make our spaces work for both of us while still making them super cute!

I believe the damage created on the backside of the board while drilling is because another board wasn't placed below. Always drill through boards with another (spare use) board beneath to prevent that

Great inspiration; by far one of the few and best home-office makeovers where I feel functionality and storage held more importance, but how you managed to pull it off in such a beautifully decorated and tranquil look and feel, and not to mention combining several different needs for the space! When you are drilling on wood just put painters tape on the spot you want to drill to avoid splinters on the wood. Make the mark of the hole you want to drill on the painters tape and no sanding afterwards and no splinters. Just a hack. Keep going!

This is such a great transformation from where it started out as the junk room (that you were somehow both still working in!), and it’s so cute and functional afterwards! All the organisation of craft supplies is very pleasing 😊 I currently have a really small desk in a corner of my living room/kitchen/everything room, and I have way too many boxes of junk - things I need to get rid of, and things that just need a proper home! I moved in back in Dec 2019 after not having chance to declutter first and I had WAY too much stuff I did’t need anymore… but then the pandemic hit when I was starting to do my spring cleaning and make improvements, and with everything closed I couldn’t either get rid of the old stuff or easily get new furniture and decor and things! Somewhere along the line I’ve just stalled, and I really just need to make a start on the decluttering… hopefully once I get started I’ll find it’s not as bad and overwhelming as it feels right now… like you said here :) P.S. I love that calathea! I don’t see that one online very often, and I love it, and it’s definitely on my wishlist! Soft and velvety as well as beautiful 🥰 (I’m not allowing myself to buy new plants until I do some of that decluttering and know what sort of areas I’ll have with space for plants afterwards!)
