Home remedy for cold,cough & throught pain | ಮನೆ ಮದ್ದು | Pepper rasam recipe | kaalu menasu saaru
A dish which can serve the role of best rasam and a kashayam for sickness of cough and cold. During cough and cold an individual looses his mouthfeel. So he can have a best meal by using this rasam. And if he/she drinks this kashayam, feels really relief. This rasam is made by mainly using raw pepper and jeera. You can replace raw pepper with dry pepper, if raw is unavailable. Boil the water well and finally add crushed jeera and pepper. Also add a good tempering with jeera, mustard seeds and red chillies, and curry leaves. Extra ingredients like ginger and lemon juice can also be added to enhance it's taste. This rasam should be made strong enough to be effective for cough and cold.
ingredients:
Pepper- 15 to 20
Jeera - 1 Tspn
Ghee - 3 spn
Dry red chilli - 2
Mustard seeds - 1 spn
curry leaves
Hing - 1/2 spn
Tamarind
Jaggery
Salt as per taste
Ginger - 1 piece
Water
