You can make the fungus soft by having a hot epsom salt foot bath (soak for at least 20 minutes) and then use a nail file with the pointed end to scrap out the fungus. You could then use this technique to finish of the fungus. Thanks for the tips!

I’ve done the Epsom salt bath and it did make it softer but not as soft as this. And definitely didn’t make it clear. Maybe some methods work better for some and not others. I know I’m definitely going to try this.

Here is a story about my dad. In 2000 shortly after we came to the US, after trimming his nail too deep into the corner he got a really bad to infection. It got to the point where he could not walk and the only thing that helped him at the time was oral antibiotic, every time he went through a round the fungus would come back, that went on for 2 years and caused much suffering. During that time he was trying to get a common paste that is used in Russia for external application, at that time it was difficult to find and ship it to the US. Finally he got it, after 2 application the fungus never came back again! The paste is made from 2 ingredients, castor oil and birch tree oil, it is called мазь по вешнескому. It is sold in European markets for like $5 these days or online, and it works very well. Thought this might help someone. Cheers

I used the garlic and olive oil but added a Macgyver way of covering my feet. Cut the finger tip of a medical glove and fill the finger tip with the concoction, put your toe into it , and tape it. That way you don't have to use plastic wrap on your whole foot, and its air tight. Boom!

Thank you Nicole for making this video available for people with nail fungus such as myself. I've had toenail fungus on my toes for the past 27 years. I had a nail removal procedure which involved multiple shots on each toe on each foot by needle in order to numb the nerves around each toe. It was a painful/burning experience (feels like acid being poured over your toe). The doctor was successful in the removal of the toenails and I was left with a bed of skin for each toe. It took some time for new nail to grow back (2 weeks or so) and it looked great for awhile. 1 months later I went off to boot camp and since the soldiers shared the shower-stalls, my feet caught the fungus again thus it grew back. I don't want to go through that painful procedure again so I'll try this home remedy. It's quite embarassing wearing slippers in public because of this.

I'll need to try this. A couple of thoughts... Coconut oil is anti-fungal. A trusted MD that specializes in fungal infection at a university told me. Also, in between treatments air out the foot. Spray all of your shoes with athletes foot spray & air out. The fungus lives in your shoes. Wash socks in bleach & hot water. The other thing is to take off your shoes when you get home. Airing out the feet keeps the fungus at bay. Good luck!

Nicole, this may work much better if the person can file the nail down as close to the skin as possible. That way the garlic and oil can get to work on the skin under the nail without trying to penetrate the nail itself. A person can buy one of those very inexpensive battery operated manicure machines. My granddaughter who is autistic has had toenail fungus for years. Its been a battle beyond belief because she will not apply any treatments unless I supervise her. It started in on toe and has spread now to four toes on on foot. She also has athletes foot on the foot where she has the toenail fungus. I really do believe this problem can be systemic within the blood stream. for some people. Since she is home I am going to try this treatment but I am going to buff off the nail first. I hope she will let me do this.

Thank you so much!!! This remedy works. If the case is bad you should do it every night for two months, so the fungus does not return. I also press the garlic piece directly on my toenail, and wrap it tightly with gauze and tape. This take time, but is cheap and effective.

Thank you. The plastic wrap was a challenge for my size 13 feet; especially since I had to apply this treatment to my entire sole, as it is also affected. I have been dealing with athlete's feet for 18 years, tried everything, and plan to run this 24-hour treatment twice with a rest day in-between (with a soak then tea tree oil rub on the rest day). Would be better to put a bunch of Garlic and the Olive oil in a blender, and turn the mixture into a nice paste, that will stick to the Toe Nails. Also the Garlic turned green, because Olive oil is Green in Color. Keeping the Garlic on the toe's for 24 hours is not so important. Just leaving it on for the night is good enough. Anyway, the fungus is not going to disappear after just one application. One would have to repeat this at least 5 times to get rid of all the fungus.

I will be trying this tonight on my husband. He's had nail fungus on one of his fingers since I met him almost 4 yrs ago and toe nail fungus on his feet. He never realized it could lead to health problems if left untreated. I'm not a fan of medication and neither is he especially when it takes a toll on your liver. We just started an acv wash this week but I want to add this to his remedy. God willing and this will be the last week he has it! He is very embarrassed of showing his toes so he never wears sandals outside our home. Can you imagine not wearing sandals in the summer? Especially in our El Paso dry heat!? I will post our results after this week is over 😊I'm very hopeful and optimistic about this. Garlic really is great! Just last night I did a home remedy for hemorrhoids and it included a half a head of garlic - peeled. And hot boiling water about 2 L in a clean paint bucket. That's all you need. Then you sit on it until the water cools. This remedy has shrunk my hemorrhoids into half the size it was the day before! I will do it again today in hopes they completely diminish. Highly recommend this for anyone that suffers from hemorrhoids! Another natural remedy you can add to your channel ☺️😉

the garlic turned green because of the vinegar that was used before. however I tried this and it worked kinda. my left toe, thumb and the one next to it use to to be a little dark kinda like yellow green and now two of my nails looks normal. my other thumb on the right foot is growing the nail clear so now only half of the nail is dark yellow and the new nail is growing normal. my left foot definitely reacted more to this remedy than the right but in my opinion don't expect a jaw dropping miracle either. it takes time to get rid of foot fungus.

The only thing you have achieved is softening of the plaques. The same thing occurs after a hot bath/shower or soaking. You then attempt to physically remove the plaques. You cannot effectively treat and cure this condition this way. The pathogen is microscopic and cannot be removed by physically removing it. A systemic treatment is required.

My podiatrist has given me two different things, tolnaftate 1% and before that Naftin, which seem to be for athletes foot. I do not have any athletes foot. My feet are squeaky clean and skin very normal all over including between toes. Anyhow, his laser is conveniently "down" every time I go there. Please do message me about what you recommend. Thanks.

You will have to treat topically. This is very difficult. I would recommend applying solution morning and night. Wearing loose fitting shoes, ideally sandals, with socks if you have to. Spray inside shoes w/antifungal spray daily and nightly. This regimen has to be followed until the nails grow out clear. This could be up to 7 months. There is a guy on KZbin who describes his treatment with this method. He seems to be successful. I can't find his video though. It would be worth looking for if you decide to try this method. He is very thorough about explaining things and why they are important.

Been there done that for people with sensitive skin try pre-soaking garlic bulb in water preferably a half a bottle put the garlic in and allow to sit in the water overnight then soak your feet in the garlic solution you can add Epson salt any other type of solutions you would like you can also add an anabiotic if you would like once a month or weekly
