One Year Later...
Walkthrough of a garden room we created one year ago as a multi-purpose space. Including; a quiet office space away from the busy household, an annexe for friends and family to stay, an outdoor covered seating area to enjoy the evening sun at the end of the garden and to top it all off - a relaxing home spa retreat.

How tall are you buddy? That ice bath area roof looks quite low, unless you're 7ft tall haha. I would imagine bashing one's head when stepping up to get into the ice bath. I think it would have been nicer to have some built in shelves in that storage room, rather than a messy looking bought racking system, but I suppose if it's just a dumping room, it doesn't really matter. Either way, it's a really nice build. I'm in the middle of building my own garden room, it's built, membraned, roofed and the interior is fully finished now. I just need to complete the external cladding in the spring when the days get longer. I've been building it after work and on the weekends, so it's taken me a while, but I'm super happy with the result so far. I wish I had enough in my budget for aircon, but alas being the UK I figured I only need a heater to stay warm and open a window to get cool haha.

Hi there, thank you for the detailed comment, it's lovely to hear about other peoples builds, especially the self builders. Yours is a decent size and looks to be coming on nicely. Depending on whether you are south facing or not, you can get away with just cracking a window in the summer months. For the record I am 6,3" and my customer is a bit shorter than myself. We also wanted to keep the neighbors happy by not going too high on that veranda roof as it was close to their boundary. Good luck with the rest of your build!
