I love how you've made the now-and-then bookshelf into a cozy exhibition space. So much prettier and respectful of the gear than the typical cram into a shelf side by side situation probably most of us are guilty of (I certainly am).
@Drrolfski2 жыл бұрын
The best part of this video by far is actually the disclaimer in the description that you don't need all this gear. As people seem to have difficulties understanding the differences between a "KZbinr studio" where gear = content and a regular, recommended home studio where 90% of this gear simply doesn't make sense AT ALL. Because unless you're a KZbinr, you really don't need a Maschine MK3 AND a Maschine Plus AND an MPC One AND an MPC Live 2 AND an SP404 MK2 AND a Circuit Rhythm, which all do basically the same stuff.

You’re 100% right! It is a lot of fun to be able to switch between devices when you’re able to but it’s not needed. At all. Get a unit, learn everything about it and make beats. That’s the way to go
@I.O.M.2 жыл бұрын
@@AccurateBeats For me I have the opposite issue, very little space. In that case my SP404 MKII is a sampler, audio recorder, and audio interface. For me my gear selections have to have multiple functions. Every situation is unique but thanks for posting the vid Accurate!

You make it sound like there was actually electronic music before 2010.

Agree 100%... but I've seen some beatmakers and producers using several pieces of gear that have a lot of overlap and others that rely on a piece of gear that they continue to use even though there are more modern, much improved units available today. Some individuals have a simple, comfortable workflow whereas others prefer a more complex, diverse workflow to find inspiration or get out their ideas.

As I’ve watched your channel and learned about you outside the studio with what you’ve been through, I have nothing but crazy respect for you as a human being. There is a human element to you in this space that I do not see many share. It’s refreshing and inspirational. All the best on a potential new studio and enjoying time with your family. Mad respect sir.

Hopefully your rental space works out. It has to be hard not being able to just listen to speakers. That would drive me crazy. While all the things are not really needed it makes you happy and creative. Music is part of you as well as the tech. It’s fun learning new pieces of gear good and bad. Also continuing to teach yourself and develop as a musician. I love your content I always learn something new. You are inspirational and to us tech music geeks you’re amazing.

The real question is how often are you dusting all that gear. LOL my gear and MPC pads are constantly getting dusted and lint rolled.
@darrinbisson89142 жыл бұрын
Can I ask how you decide when to use the MPC One vs the Maschine Plus? Is there a specific workflow difference or use-case for each that helps you differentiate what you need each one for?
@AccurateBeats2 жыл бұрын
They do offer two different workflows but I wouldn’t say that I have any solid reasoning behind which I choose for a project. I’ve really fallen in love with the new instruments Akai added to the latest firmware version on the MPCs so that might play a part… I use them for the same type of job really… good question though!

I have asked this question on this channel and many other channels many times but I can never get an answer.. Does the machine+ record in 24bit??? And play audio in 24 bit??
@AccurateBeats2 жыл бұрын
Oh, I’m sorry! Sometimes I can’t find the time. Maschine+ does 44.1khz in 24 bit, both ways. Adding an external audio interface over usb gives you more options but the internals of the audio interface in Maschine+ is limited like that. Hope that answers it :) Thanks for supporting!
