I had to go back and look before I realized that you're right, I don't think I've done a video like that yet.. Keep your eyes open! It'll be some time since I have a few videos to get out first, but you'll see it!

Hello. The alarm at my school is a Simplex Truealert, but they are not horns or speakers, but they make a very quiet bell sound. What are those models called? Thanks.
@TheFirePanel4 жыл бұрын
While I don't know the models off the top of my head, I do know there are some multi-tone TrueAlert models. Google around a bit and you might find some models!

It could be a speaker strobe with a chime sound programmed into it.

At 1:08, was the pull station that was giving you trouble one of the simplex ones in the pile of all of the simplex equipment I sent you a long time ago?

Are you working on your panel, if so, please show me how you interface with fire alarm devices. Look at what adafruit sells
@TheFirePanel4 жыл бұрын
I want to work on that panel.. I've been way too busy with school so I haven't really had time. I'll try to though. Basically, the Raspberry Pi is going to read the current draw on the circuit and that'll determine if there is an alarm condition. That'll allow us to then activate relays, providing power to the NACs, in an alarm condition.

@@TheFirePanel If you need analog inputs for the pi, then you can use this www.adafruit.com/product/1083 I think these kinds of push buttons would look cool on it and they might be cheaper on ebay or amazon www.adafruit.com/product/558. If you need a current sensor, you can use this www.adafruit.com/product/4226 The Analog input module and the current sensor will need soldering for the pinheaders You could make a diagram on how everything is wired up
