Gorgeous absolutely GORGEOUS.!.!.!.! My only advice like you mentioned is to add more subs in the future, it makes a huge difference. @@PiecesAndSpacesWithMrsT Thank you…🙏🏾 it’s a work in progress. It should have been done already but I’m a one man army/gang for my house. Working 70-90 hours a week doesn’t help either. Im thinking about doing a four part series featuring my 5.2 bedroom theater system, 5.2 living room theater system, 5.2 garage theater system with a projector and 144” screen and the 9.4.6 basement system that’s on KZbin. But then again I’m leaving myself open to all the critics. So I might just feature the basement and leave it at that….

From budget to high performance, I've experienced quite a few AVR's in my time. When it came to 2 channel stereo playback, I actually preferred the sound of my £400 Sony STR DN 1080 over my mid-price £2,000 Denon 6500. I found a Sony to be more punchy and dynamic. An avid music listener.

Got to say, this is awesome!!! Looking forward to have one myself on day. Do need to ask, I don’t know what you spent, however, how affordable can these theaters be. Could you make a really nice one for 10k?
@PiecesAndSpacesWithMrsT3 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! You absolutely can create a nice home theater under $10k! I suggest doing lots of research on equipment in your budget and considering DIY'ing what you can. Of course consider what you would need to contract out if you can't DIY (electrical, carpentry, etc.), but include that in your research and planning as well.
@georgepopescu13273 жыл бұрын
Depending on how much do you value image quality, your next upgrade should be a projector with better black levels. UHD60 was designed for a normal living room, not for dedicated dark rooms liks this. You should demo an Epson UB5050/6050 or if the budget allows a native 4k from Sony or JVC.

That little horizontal centre speaker is doing you no favours. Swap it for a decent bookshelf speaker, and place it upright. Ideally have matching speakers all across the front.

@Triggaaar3 жыл бұрын
@@PiecesAndSpacesWithMrsT Hey Mrs T, you're very welcome (even if it wasn't really the kind of comment you'd like to see). The rest of your room is too good to be let down by something so easy to solve. Firstly, the centre speaker is the most important speaker in any cinema/home theater. It's where the dialogue comes from. And the issue with horizontal speakers is that they sound quite different depending on where you sit. So if you're every watching something, and one persona watching can't quite hear what people are saying in some scenes, that'll be why. Good luck :)

Very clean install guys. As a DIY’er I can appreciate the work you guys put into it. Well done. Also good choice on adding an additional sub and another pair of height channels. If you’re you’re replacing the receiver, take a look at the Denon or Marantz line. Most home theater enthusiasts have discovered the lack luster effort that many studios have put into their Atmos home mixes. Denon and Marantz have Auro 3D, which was actually the first immersive format before Atmos. My point to all of this is the Auro 3D up-mixer can be used instead of Atmos which will accurately place height effects above you. Especially with movies that simply don’t use the height channels as they were intended. Aqua Man is a great example of this as well as most if not all of the Marvel Movies. Below is a link that explains advantages of the Auro 3D up mixer. kzbin.info/www/bejne/rILEp3dqYpZkbK8 Skip to 48:00 to hear the explanation and 1:03 mark for an actual demonstration. Make sure guys get your second sub time aligned with the first to ensure they are playing as one and possibly employ a parametric EQ such as a Mini-DSP to really get the most from you subs.
@PiecesAndSpacesWithMrsT3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your suggestions! We'll check out that video as well. We've definitely been look at both Denon and Marantz as options for the receiver replacement.
