@@Youthman Great Channel! I just picked up an Elite while they are still available! I figure I am going to pick up an extra battery while they still have them. How did the oem replacement battery turn out? How long did your original battery last. Thank you as always Mike Ps. did you end up picking up a back up Elite ?

They made the battery much easier to replace on the Elite than the old touch/ultimates

I have a quick question about this remote. Not sure if you could assist me with this question but recently my remote has lines at the top of the display that appears as if something is downloading or something. The screen is not timing out when it is placed on the remote. Any idea what I can do to reboot it maybe? I was thinking of maybe removing and installing the battery but I am afraid I will lose all my preset programming on the remote. Any info will be appreciated. Thanks.
@kevonmanuel5 жыл бұрын
Should you always keep the remote in the charging base or should you only charge it when the battery is down to 15%? I have a feeling the remote is overcharging while it stays in the base all day.
@kylebermingham5 жыл бұрын
I keep mine out during the day and only charge when I go to bed. I've had it for about two years and it seems that there has been no change in battery life doing it this way.
@lesmatthews4595 жыл бұрын
@@kylebermingham I have an e-bike and they recommend to top up the batteries no matter how much you drive, Even 10 minutes of driving. So far my batteries are still as good the day I bought it 3 years ago. So I'm thinking the same logic would apply here.
@Youthman5 жыл бұрын
I only charge the remote when it needs charging. Typically not a good idea to leave devices charging when they don’t need charging.
@cigarobsession5 жыл бұрын
It shuts off automatically. Mine stay in the cradle
@davidgriffiths-bc4 жыл бұрын
Modern battery chargers only send power to the battery when the level is low, so even if you leave it on the charger continually it’s no problem it actually prolongs the battery life. Lithium batteries last longer when charged.
@cube1us3 жыл бұрын
BTW, folks get OEM wrong all the time. OEM means *original* equipment manufacturer (in this case, that would be Logitech or one of their suppliers.) Your replacement battery in this case is presumably a *third* *party* replacement. If you do a lot of this kind of thing, you might invest in a plastic/metal "case kit" - available online on amazon for a very modest cost, and these make it easier to pry open cases like this without perhaps marring them with a screwdriver shaft.

Just bought my Harmony Elite. I can't make the volume control run my A/V receiver at all times unless I go select it as the device. (i.e., if I'm watching my Apple TV and need to adjust the volume, I have to check the device button, select my Denon receiver, then I can adjust the volume, then go back to device button and re-select my Apple TV device.). Suggestions and/or work around website??
@cigarobsession5 жыл бұрын
Joey Peacock you just need to manually assign the volume buttons to what you need. It doesn’t assume what you want it to do

When you run the set up for the activity, you wil be asked to assign a device that controls the volume, make sure you select the receiver.....

If you don't need a battery do not go out and just buy one as a spare. If you don't charge these batteries at least once every 6 months they are going to go permanently dead. If your willing to go through the opening and swap out process and do charges then fine. Unfortunately with Harmony stopping production by time most of us do need fresh batteries all that will be left on the market is Chinese knock offs.
