Great video - thank you. What are your thoughts on "Rel 3-d"? John Hunter advocates for running all speakers full-range and using the high-level connection on REL subwoofers (in addition to LFE connections) to support at least the middle, left/right, and rear channels. Does this "3-d" setup result in a more immersive experience than delegating deep bass frequencies to the subwoofers per you guidance? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

We actually talk about this a bit in this video at 2:30: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aJfUp5KJpKidd7csi=eLUie5ArGwCTV6bE We think it's pretty cool and if you're able to set it up that way, it is a good idea. Chat with our experts at audioadvice.com if you want to learn more about it!

I plan on running the R series of in wall kef speakers and the Q series in walls for my surrounds and heights. Would this have a bigger difference than just running the R series in walls all around? Asking for budget purposes lol

In the sense of diminishing value. At what point does adding more say height speakers create more immersiveness than say horizontal ones? At the same channels say 5.1.4 vs 7.1.2 etc

Great question. Many times it will depend on how the room supports them, but we would normally pick 5.1.4 over 7.1.2.

Great video but idk if I’m an expert now. Guess I better start my own home theater install business to find out!

Excellent overview. It's easy to get lost in what each speaker is designed to do. This should help a ton of folks out there.

It should also be noted to adjust your main speaker settings according to their size on the home theater system.
