Very cute apartment! And your landlord did a great job with this basement space. It's nice and airy and light with attractive urban rustic details. Love the stained cement floor and the wood bathroom vanity counter!

You have a gorgeous home! I got my duvet for super cheap at Target some years ago, and it was the best purchase ever...! It's just one solid color (in my case a dark, foresty army green, to go with my northern woodlands theme!), of course you can put a cover on it if you need to switch it up, and it is SO warm, I don't even really need more than a thin summer blanket even in the dead of the canadian winter! I think I have paid under 50$ for it, certainly not much more, and I still love it!!

What a beautiful, natural, calm living space!! I would live there in a heartbeat! and I do appreciate the fact it is not jam-packed full of clutter, I like clean open spaces, you dont need every can and bottle out on the counter in the kitchen and bathroom, and it looks like you still live comfortably. That is definitely NOT what the basement apts look like in the U.S, you would be rather shocked to see some of them.

I'm a total thrifter too! I have the most amazing home decor and most of the clothes in my closet and let me tell you that my closet is as hip as it's ever been in my life! ilovedance they are concrete floors. There cool but not ideal with a toddler, since falling is a daily occurrence and these floors are literally rock hard lol. They are also so cold. But at least they are pretty.

Just looking at the entrance way into your kitchen from the hall. If rented your place I'd get a lovely vintage wardrobe and block that way. You could have the doors opening into the hall or the kitchen and have extra storage. Otherwise you have a very beautiful home.
