Scott also co-wrote songs for artists like Adele, Justin Bieber and many others. In 2015 Scott sold his entire catalog to Hipgnosis Songs.

Besides , I believe that the DIRECTIONERS know more than you do coz they have a compiled list of each song that the boys performed and within that said list are the names in which who wrote each song ... Jamie was / is a co - writer / producer of songs and was apart of helping them but NOT the brain of the whole thing ... For the record , No control was written by Liam & Louis , Story of my life was written by all the boys coz it tells the story of THEIR childhood NOT jamie's .... And for your info , under each video you can find the list of who wrote the song and the boys names are always first and jamie's is last ... STOP DISCREDITING THE BOYS !!!!

Scott wrote 29 songs for 1D including but not limited to, Story Of My Life, Clouds and Drag Me Down, he wrote for Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson as soloists, as well as other artists. It's all documented and you can easily look it up if you are interested.

I'm a guy in his 30s and Ive always dabbled with their music as I'm a HUGE pop music fan. Like you, it wasn't when they were releasing the music, but later on. But because of your reactions, you have me listening to 1D non-stop whenever I'm listening to music, for the last 3 weeks. In the shower, in the car, in my house, singing it at work. Then I went and purchased all 5 albums YEARBOOK Editions (check them out! They come extended and in books!) AND 'This Is Us' AND 'Where We Are' BOTH on blu-ray so I can experience them the best way possible on my set-up. What have you done to me Steven? I remember when all 5 guys came to Vancouver like 7 years ago and I laughed at the thought of going to a 1D concert. Oh how I've grown and would kill to get to experience that today. Also, I find it amusing that I've become such a massive fan, and all of a sudden it's their 10 year reunion. Are there higher powers in play? So after re-watching your reactions again, you've made me fall in love with soo many of their songs I used to brush aside while looking for the hits ie. Night Changes. Every song is unique and every one of them are so incredibly talented in their own way, differing them from other "boy bands" where not every member.... was such... lol I've yet to check out any of their solo stuff besides Harry and Zayns first singles, and some of Nials radio hits.. But you got me excited to do so! Anyway, thanks again for making these videos and hopefully showing other people who've grown up a little bit that there is sooo much more to these guys than just being a "boy band". Also, I highly recommend checking out their movie This is Us. I know you'll love it! I sooo hope these guys make another album soon, and if Zayn hopped on board, I'd die. Bonjour from Canada! :P

@@user-lc3wy7ih8f I simply stated the facts as to who actually wrote the bulk of the song I don't care what Liam said, Jamie Scott was the primary writer and retained all rites to the song and as such he retained monetary rites to the song which he sold to Hypgnosis Publishing in 2016. That fact is well documented. I'm not being rude and sorry if you feel I am but Scott should be credited for his work even if you don't want to recognize it. Scott also wrote the bulk of Story Of My Life, which is what initially drew my attention to 1D and Drag Me Down as well as 26 other 1D songs. Scott wrote 100's of songs, he also wrote for Niall Horan as a soloist, , Rag and Bone Man, Louis Tomlinson as a soloist, Little Mix, Ed Sheeran and many others.

Truly Madly Deeply, Magic and Irresistible werent on an EP they were in fact only available on the fisical copy of the expanded edition of Take Me Home and all of us were dyinggg to have them on spotify this whole time cause they are amazing and even if they werent in the main version i feel like almost everyone has them as one of their favorites songs from TMH (me included) or at least occupying a very special place in their hearts, home was the one which was on an EP and its so special to me i love that song so much

My story with 1d is the same, a listened to Harry's music and then checked out the others and the 1d songs and fell in love with all of them. Also these are one of my favs songs (especially truly, madly, deeply), so happy you're reacting to them. Also don't forget Home was written by Louis AND Liam. Giving both the credit doesn't take the meaning away the song holds for Louis.

Home never got released on the album because of it's meaning. Did you hear the part that said but there was something missing in her eyes? They found it in someone else's eyes. Liam and Louis wrote this song. Keep in mind, their team preferred people believing that they were homophobic back then, their teams now aren't much better. Liam and Louis though, have been seen as more supportive by people. This song is literally the gayest they ever were allowed to be. It didn't matter how many songs they wrote about being in love, being forced to hide. Every single one direction song, most of their solo work all comes back around to being in love, but not being able to share that with the world. That's what home is, home is an icon. "When you're lost, I'll find the way, I'll be your light." A description of a fucking lighthouse. At the time we all thought Louis was going to get a light house tattoo, they released this song.

I've been in love with them for the past 9 years and to get the chance to grow up with them and evolve with their music is quite an amazing experience. the Last avenger You're the last one I'm going to correct about Louis having written Home, he did not, he contributed to the song, Jamie Scott wrote the majority of the song along with 28 other 1D songs, which he sold along with the remainder of his catalog at the time to Hypgnosis Publishing in 2016. Ya'll have such selective understanding of the song writing business or ya'll are just a bunch of l**rs. Who knows for sure.

Don’t get me wrong, I like all of them including Louis, but just because you want to hype up one member doesn’t mean you get to discredit another. Louis gets a ton of credit for writing and singing as well, (especially nowadays). Liam gets almost no credit for writing and not so much for singing as well (especially nowadays). And getting credit for singing and getting credit for writing are two different things and two different talents, just because you get one, doesn’t mean you can’t have the other. So you can’t say that Liam gets a ton if credit because he sings in every song, that’s not how it works.
