The round table fits that area a lot better. Great job cleaning the windows! The best part for me as a major dog lover was watching those three playing and having fun. That picture/painting you had the frame painted is of the Great Zimbabwe ruins in Masvingo, Zimbabwe. This is where over 10000 Mashona people lived around 1100AD. (I’m Shona myself😁).

A super inexpensive and simple way to make the firebox look way better: get Rustoleum fireproof matte black spray paint. Spray all the bricks inside the box. It will look beautiful and intentional. I did this (vacuum out firebox first). It made ALL the difference!

@benjiplant You should consider getting a good air purifier if you don’t have one already! They help with cleaning your home air, reducing dust on furniture and floor, and it helps with circulating air in a warm room. I have a Blue Air 211+ Auto which you can customize the color for the filter but I am sure you can find any good one out there in the market that you like.

Here's a hack: I found that removing the brand name from those standing fans is easy; the plastic circle in the middle often pops right off and with a little fine-grit sandpaper taken to it, you end up with a clean-looking, super-matte center...

You could use the fireplace or fill it with candles if you get a sturdy fireplace screen that will keep Theo out of there. They sell all types and styles of screens. Thanks for sharing!

I'm behind because I came here from Paige's tour, but you should consider getting a bio-ethanol flame for the fireplace! They don't give off any dangerous levels of gases or anything from what I understand, so you don't need a way for it to escape outside like a traditional fire. The Sorry Girls just did a video with one in it. If you are worried about the pup with a flame and the potential gas levels that would be understandable, but it might be worth looking into and you'd likely only have it on when you're in the room anyway? :) It would make the soot look like it really belongs there hahha.

Hi Benji! Your decorating skills are evolving! That's a good thing...so keep experimenting! Love the round table to soften the straight lines in the room! However, now the chairs are "off" to me...maybe it's the color red. Just a thought...for more softness, fabric seated chairs/cushions are a possibility? I like the lighter color for the bookshelf.
