You can live a long time without food, but not very long without clean water. That’s why we picked up a VEVOR water distiller. This is going to be a great addition to our ability to make sure we have clean water on hand at all times. You can also use this beautiful unit to make Essential Oils and Alcohol for consumption or disinfection. Check out their link below. If this is something you may be interested in. Also, let me know what you use distilled water for.

Good morning sister Jill. We are so happy your ohana invested a distiller. We all have to invest in ourselves to create our own infrastructure and supply chain to become self-reliant as possible. The distiller is one of three sources we use to collect water. If you use hot water to start with, distiller will process in fast time. We have used ours for over 10 years and still going. to add minerals back we add a pinch of (Himalayan salt or sea salt). We keep 6 gallons on a metro-rack in dinning room, rotating the 1 gallon jugs as we use them. I also canned a case of the distilled H2o, to keep sterilized water on hand for rinsing wounds as part of our medical supplies. We were able to cruise the "Alaskan Vortex" and onward to the present. We had peace of mind when all the towns around were issued "boil water" notices from there authorities because they lost power to the treatment plants and pipe breakage. We were good to go in Bedford. To many times the authorities have waited to long to issue warnings. Invest in yourself friends. Sorry Jill, didn't mean to type out a paragraph.

Just unboxed my distiller. It is the vevor. I read the strangely translated😊 booklet but was so happy to find your youtube video. I have been using a cpap for 3 month now. My sleep clinic gal said tap water is fine but like you my sinuses get irritated easily. When I realized how much air was being pushed into me with cpap I thought I should be careful. I have been using water that has been boiled for a minimum of five minutes But I like the purity of distilled water and I am happy not to be boiling water or adding more plastic into recycling. I am a retired Canadian living in Queensland Australia. Thank you

You should test the ppm of the water, PH alone isnt a good indicator. You could add a little citric acid to the hard water and it will be PH7, but it wont be pure :). If you retest the PH after a few hours it will likely have changed. Pure water is sometimes called "hungry water" , it will absorb gasses like carbon dioxide (CO2) which will affect the PH.

Before using the first time, you're instructed to clean the distiller with the citric acid. What is the silver trivet-like piece for? In my opinion, it we're eating as good as we can, we get minerals from the REAL foods we eat. I feel that distilled water is most certainly great to drink and safe. We got it because I'm in the middle of a 12 week gut healing protocol and our tap water is full of fluoride and chlorine. I wonder if ANY tap water has anything beneficial in it. Going forward, I have no desire to put much of anything toxic, that I can best avoid, into my system. It was amazing to finally discover what's been wrong with me. Through usage of pharmaceutical antibiotics throughout my life, I developed leaky gut. My practitioner was able to determine that I'm without the two most vital bacteria needed in our guts through testing available to all in the US. Thankfully I'm on the road to recovery and don't want to go back to poor habits/eating. Everyone is unique and different. We all must find what works best for us.

No tap water is good for you. Even our well water is heinous, I think because even the water table has been poisoned in many areas from all the agricultural chemicals and chemicals from plastics, manufacturing, etc, that go into landfills.

I have the same model, and it works very well. Probably 200 gallons of water run through it to date and I just use vinigar and a blue scotchbrite pad to clean the lime scale out after about 5 gallons or so. Takes about 3 hours per gallon. It also works well for distilling Alcohol. I used to make home made wine, and when you make it, once in a while you get a batch that doesn't taste good, so you distill it into whisky! But, if you buy the cheepest rotgut from the store and run it through and redistill it, you get out all the bad flavors and increase the proof in the process. I got to 190 proof in some mof my batches and WOOO WHOOO, powerful stuff. All good things to know how to do and make incase the wporld does take the big turd someday. Bartering is better than cash, and clean water and alcohol are worth there weight in gold during the end of the world! 😉😇🍸

I've got a Megahome distiller---the glass container is a gallon and a half (I believe). I've used it intermittently---have put up bottles of the distilled water just to have on hand. Lately, for the past month, I've really felt a need to cleanse my body as much as possible and have been using it for drinking and cooking. I love mine! I purchased a gravity water filter too, a Berkey, in the event of prolonged power outages and unsafe water. Have never unpacked it---I just feel better knowing we have one.

We use a reverse osmosis unit for our daily drinking water, but I have been wanting to get something for distilling water. Mostly for use when I am making herbal remedies and wine. I routinely add jars of RO water to any canning loads I have room in, just to keep sterile water on hand for medical uses. You never know when you'll need it. Going to talk to Hubs about getting one of the distillers, because I trust your opinion of it. Thanks for sharing! Hugs.

I just made my purchase. Buying distilled water is getting expensive (and that's if you can find it). I use it for my humidifier (1 gallon per day), iron, coffee maker, steam mop and watering orchids and other sensitive plants. This will pay for itself in a couple of months. Can't believe I hadn't thought to do this sooner. I'm not clear on how you leave some water to keep it from having deposits in the bottom. Program it to stop sooner? Thanks for the video.

I was disappointed because I thought you were going to go into some detail about how to set time and temperature as that's the thing that is NOT covered in the instructions that come with the unit. What does come in the instructions is to wash the unit properly and to do a 20 minute run with 1 liter of water and 2 tbsp of the citric acid crystals (dissolved) then rinse with clean water to make sure your unit is clean before distilling your first batch. As an aside: You should be drinking distilled water because practically all water (in the US anyway) has chlorine and fluoride added. Fluoride is a NEUROTOXIN (brain poison) and you should not be putting it into your body! Stop using fluoride toothpaste! If you brush your teeth with xylitol toothpaste, use xylitol gum and xylitol pastiches you will not have cavities. There are natural bacteria in your mouth that kill the bacteria (fed by sugar among other things) that create cavities - that natural bacteria defense is killed by fluoride - that's why dentists recommend it! More clients for them....
