I like the Metroid but the backglass? Not a fan. The Mass Effect guy seems to have a good grasp on rules and not keeping the backglass full of needless junk that the player never sees anyway. Zelda theme is excellent. I'll take a Metroid (art and sound), Mass Effect (rules and and back box setup), with the Zelda theme. I'd love to build my own machine. I worry thought that it would be a decade long project with a year or two of no progress. I'm lazy. I would probably build it wrong and then have to tear it down more than a few times. I'd never be satisfied with it always thinking of adding something. It would take me forever to learn to program the damn thing and I would never have a good grasp on it. Eventually I would muster up the courage to show it off and other players would be like... meh. The art would suck because I'm the world's worst artist. I'd probably be good with the audio though. So there's that. Anyway, I cut and polish stones and I've always thought that translucent stones would make awesome inserts. Particularly amethyst, prasiolite and other quartz colors along with jade. Curious to know anyone's thoughts on this idea.
