Friday night my husband and I were talking about bundt cakes. Saturday morning I bought a bundt cake pan at a yard sale for $3. Tomorrow I am going to make this cake! I have everything except buttermilk... But I have canned milk and lemon juice... Excited!

Used to be able to buy the Mix with the center filling to make bundt cakes like this back in the 80's, now a days they just sell the cake mix. They sold vanilla pudding, brown sugar cinnamon & chocolate filling back in the 80's.

I recall a version of this cake that became popular in the '70's that my Mother, my sister and I used to make often. The only difference is the cream center included coconut and mini chocolate chips and was meant to be served warm. You reminded me of how much I miss it.

A beautifully constructed original design. I never thought about dolloping the cream cheese batter in the centre. Normally, I would swirl the centre throughout the chocolate but I like the idea of giving each person a little bite of pure cream cheese. Damn, that music is wonderful. If I were you I would try this recipe , substituting some of the wheat flour with almond, coconut and oat flour.. Use at least 1 cup of wheat flour for best results.
