I recall a version of this cake that became popular in the '70's that my Mother, my sister and I used to make often. The only difference is the cream center included coconut and mini chocolate chips and was meant to be served warm. You reminded me of how much I miss it.

A beautifully constructed original design. I never thought about dolloping the cream cheese batter in the centre. Normally, I would swirl the centre throughout the chocolate but I like the idea of giving each person a little bite of pure cream cheese. Damn, that music is wonderful. yes.. you can use yogurt + milk for instance.. 3/4 cup (180g) yogurt + 1/4 cup (60ml) milk

If I were you I would try this recipe , substituting some of the wheat flour with almond, coconut and oat flour.. Use at least 1 cup of wheat flour for best results.
