I love how Mike put up a bet with the granite guy. That just insures he doesn't break it to get him to buy more granite and spend more money.

Homes built directly on slabs are common in my state. Foam board and plywood is put down. Makes a good base for either carpet, tile or hardwood. Mike was smart to use tile. Make sure the problem is fixed permanently

The custom home our company built for client wanted the black cast iron sink I hated it. Unfortunately my painters thought it was a great place to clean their brushes, what a mess & all kinds of water marks. (They didn’t think to use the utility sink in the garage, are you kidding me?) The only way to get it looking good was to use oil which made it look great. Same people wanted their own carpet layer to install plush white carpet. Boy what a mess we came in the evening to check up, what did we & the buyers find? A Big black grease mark in the center of the carpet. So I again looked for a solution and used Simple Green. It worked! The buyers were shocked & couldn’t believe that it looked brand new when they came in the next morning.

wait , painters washing their brushes , in the sink of the KITCHEN! first , what sort of paint did they use ? what potential chemicals where left staining crap and secondly how much of the crap they washed of did like the fat from a unhealthy amount of bacon only go into the sink pipes , and then ..stayed... there , making it an even worse clog up risk then said grub byproducts ,as at least grease and such you have a chance to 'scrape out/melt with hot water+ gentle cleaning compounds ...but paint... even a lot of the 'organic' ones if it starts to dry up in pipes that becomes not just rock solid but also a 'inert' 'static' material that wont be affected by hot water and any compounds strong enough to losen it likely melt the pipes in the process :/

Everyone seemed to miss an obvious issue. The floor is cold because it's on grade. The way a refrigerator works is to remove heat from the inside and transfer it to the evaporator coil. In many fridges the coil is located underneath the fridge. A warm evaporator coil constantly against a cold floor would cause condensation. And that's where the water all seems to be coming from.
@oweeyformallyknownasokok4752
@oweeyformallyknownasokok4752 3 ай бұрын
That's my theory. But, the coil might actually be on top. I'm not sure what that box is on top.
@johnnyb8700

Not evaporator, that’s in the freezer. The condenser is the hot side of the sealed system. Defrost water goes into a pan to evaporate. If the fridge had a leak they would see it right away on floor

Brick for a floor would be awful, the joints would constantly crack, and im not sure how good brick would be at impact resistance. Ill note that i dont think ive ever seen a brick floor on this show and theres probably a reason, its almost always concrete or wood.
