I’m not paralyzed, but I am fused from the C3 to the S1, meaning there are only two vertebrae not fused at the top of my spine. It took from July 2011 (first surgery) until Jul 2024 (ninth surgery) to get me to this point. I get it how much this changes everything in your life.

Thanks Mike for making a positive influence on so many people. It's not just the people and families in the videos, but you inspire other people to stand up for themselves by giving them information as to what to look for with your own eyes and the type of questions that should be asked. Be well and Take care to all your extended families that also includes the viewers like me.

This may be the most emotional episode I've watched here...in addition to making and doing it right, you inspire more of us than you may know to emulate your way, follow your example. Not to please the boss, or the spouse, or the kids, or whoever...to lay your head down on that pillow at night knowing you gave the best of yourself to whoever and whatever was happening around and outside of you! Thank you!

I'd really like a update on the homeowner. Hope he's fully recovered by now. Mike used to joke in older episodes about putting in a hot tub. This time he finally did it.

This is the latest I could find: Mike Holmes posted this on Facebook on 5/3/16: "I want to congratulate Michael Stewart on his new baby. Michael was the victim of a hit and run accident, and we showed his story on my show. I'm sorry to hear they still haven't caught the guy, but Michael had a great attitude and I wish him good luck with his new baby girl. Michael, I have 2 girls, you're going to need all the luck you can get! Keep making it right."

Maybe tension between him and neighbors. Might explain why no one saw anything. Also, wonder if there was a coverup by police. Anyways, it's been over a decade, so a moot issue now unless the person comes forward. Even then, probably beyond the statute of limitations. Glad to hear he recovered well, and they stayed together at least up through 2016 based on a social media post someone mentioned. Mike Holmes comes through again.

@ronbennett78852 ай бұрын
Apparently not. Bad police work in my view, since it wasn't a random hit and run. Likely local students and/or someone he did business with, if he bought and sold sneakers. Did police even check cameras in the area, gather cell phone ping data, etc. It's been over a decade, so they presumably got away with it. Shame.
