In growing up back in Jamaica, my grand-father, was a community VET. He once told me, any plant that bleeds is good for the body. During my 50+ yrs here, I've followed his advise, which has worked perfectly for me & my family..."DANDELION" is wonderful. Is that Y pharmaceutical companies are trying to eradicate it?...ASE'.

It's a tough call as to whether the dandelion or the nettle is the "most powerful" weed. I suspect that the nettle is the most unwanted because of its protective sting but look at the benefits - it reduces inflammation, improves osteoarthritis pain and eases gout. Researchers have found that stinging nettles are antimicrobial, antioxidant, pain-relieving, and anti-ulcer. They have been used to treat some cancers and diabetes and been found to boost the immune system. I often wonder whether our common attitude to these "weeds" is largely driven by the pharmaceutical industry that has a vested interest in weed-killer and chemical medicines.

so much this, man. I actually started learning about the dandelion after there was a clip in an animated movie about wanting to eat the only dandelion as a salad. Since then I've learned so much.
@RealBradMiller11 ай бұрын
@@chrystalminor1422I learned they broke up compacted soils, and are so adaptable.... Then I learned there were other colors, and that the Japanese bred them into coppers, reds, and even black. I have white dandelions, and pink ones, that have a deep yellow eye. I'm working on naturalizing them on my 32 acres, and I'm always keeping an eye out for different colors, I'd love to grow black and orange together for Halloween!

The Lord provides. Dandelion is my fav too, the flowers are delicious and the roots are even better. The root tea beats coffee in my opinion and has none of the negatives. God bless.

Now I know where dandelions got the name from the French, nevertheless in French Canada they are called pissenlit which means piss in the bed, and the Scots know them colloquially as pee the beds.
