I might have missed something during your tutorial as I do not see the re broadcasting tab The camera is in HomeKit but it’s greyed out and it just spins and loads. The stream works on VLC perfectly fine. Is there something that I might of missed out?

Can only get as far as trying to add to HomeKit but then nothing. Scanned the QR code in console, failed to add. Used the manual code, doesn’t even try to add. The troubleshooting advice for pairing isn’t helpful. Not sure how else to ensure host networking is enabled (already added the scrypted server IP address)

Matthew, did you figure this out? I have the same issue. I'm running in Docker on Windows 10. I can scan the QR code and my phone shows bridge or camera (depending on which code I scan) but never connects.

Does the recording to iCloud feature requires an apple HomePod or Apple TV at home?

Yes, you’ll need a HomePod (OG or mini) or an Apple TV (3rd gen or later) as a Home Hub. You will also need an iCloud+ subscription - the 50Gb plan will let you store 1 cameras recording, the 200Gb plan will let you store up to 5 cameras recordings and the 2tb plan will let you store recordings an unlimited number of cameras. Please note that only the 10 days of recordings are stored.

I'm not entirely sure, I know there is support for some Nest products - I haven't got any Nest Doorbell's/Camera's to try, but I believe you should be able to with the google-device-access plugin. It's the plugin I use to get control of my Google Nest Speakers.

Hi, I’m using 4 Swann PIR camera’s connected through a Swann DVR-4980. The DVR can generate RTSP streams for the cameras which I then use in Scrypted.

Once I'm outside, I can watch the HKSV recordings flawlessly, but the live stream doesn't work and only shows an updated image every 10-30 seconds. With luck, the lifestream runs for 3-4 seconds, then stops again. As a HomeHub I tested a current AppleTV 4k, a HomePod mini and also an old HomePod. It does not work with all of them. What else could I do? Thank you :-)

Hi! You’re welcome, glad you liked it! So if you have an iCloud+ Subscription then yes you will be able to record your camera’s in HomeKit. If not, then you can only stream them. With the 50Gb iCloud+ plan you can record 1 camera. With the 200Gb iCloud+ plan you can record up to 5 cameras. And with the 2Tb iCloud+ plan you can record an unlimited amount of cameras.

Yup, h.265 is not supported my HomeKit. Only h.264 is natively supported.

Hi, you’ll have to use a separate app like “IP Camera” and the app will guide you on what link to use. I would suggest setting a Static IP for your iPhone

It has a list of all of their camera's and which DVR's they are compatible with. For HKSV 1080p is what you need. You may be able to get away with more, but if you want to be safe, 1080p is what Apple has set out.
